BodyByFinaplex & Vets, Please Critique My Diet...

'The diet has most of my carb intake centered before and after I weight train. '

this is the key factor. your diet resembles mine, besides a few marginal differences...i'm having great results. Although my goal is not to lose fat(i got little to lose and it won't be healthy) but you will find this diet will provide you with energy for your workouts, while keeping you in fat-burning mode for the rest of the day (increased metabolism from activities, fat+protein - hence fat used for energy, when carbs are no longer needed). i'm telling ya, your diet is solid.

I like it overall. I would agree on the fish oil. ALL bodybuilders should use 6g+ of fish oil daily. Its one of the few essential suppliments. DO eat fat preworkout, or your testosterone levels will be too low by the end of the workout, and you will still be absorbing nutrients from that meal during your recovery peroid, so it is not a loss in that regard. I think you are relying abit too much on protien shakes, try replacing some of the whey with meat in the same meals. Overall though, it looks very good, and I concur with Mr. X's advice.

I recently spoke to Mr.X and he recommended that I start with 3000 calories ...

A couple questions, if you don't mind....

How long do you stick with the 3000 daily calorie intake? Do you adjust this by some ratio as you lose weight? weight*x?

What do the refeed days consist of?

what is your plan for non training days?

are you carb sensitive?

i cut from higher than you to 9% now and carbs were the key factor, the lower they got, the higher the fat grams went, the easier i lost bf. whenever carbs were high, fat lose was crawling.

good luck, you seem to be very prepared.

Kentucky, I believe my total calories are roughly 2950-3000 calories a day with 307 grams of Protein(41%), 217 grams of Carbs(29%-30%), and 103 grams of Fat(30%).

Abc 1, I'll drop the Post-Workout shake and add another meal like meal 3 just drop 1/2 cup of Oatmeal. That'll put me at about 2800-2850 calories for the day with 310 grams of Protein, 180 grams of Carbs, and 102 grams of Fat.

BodyByFinaplix, thanks for all the helpful advice! I wouldn't have been able to put it together and actually understand if it wasn't for your input & knowledge. Thanks again, brother!!

You're welcome and good luck. When you plateau let me know and we'll see what changes need to be made. Hopefully that won't be soon.

not trying to be rude...I just have questions

Mixyzptlk, like Abc 1 said, the calories will be adjusted each week as I lose weight. The ratios on the macronutrients will stay the same. Now, on the carb up days I'm going to eat the same type of carbs just more of them. I might add a few bananas or raisins with the Oatmeal, but that'll be it I think.
