It goes on about how much protien and how little carbs there chicken has and leads you on like its the perfect food for your diet. Somehow they forgot to add the part about how its deep fried, and has over 1100mg of sodium per breast. I guess that part somehaw slipped there minds.

I sure would mind knowing how to make my OWN fried chicken ... I love fried chicken but I'd like to use decent oil for frying. And yeah the sodium is a bad thing as I have high blood pressure.

So now we know that Lee Priest knew what he was talking about with all the KFC he eats in the off season.

Has anyone heard the commercials for the cortisol blocker that says, "Reasearch has proven if you're overweight, it's not your fault. It because of stress!" Then they tell you stress causes cortisol to be released which makes you fat, and if you buy their product you can lose the fat "Without diet or exercise."

Actually, I did wonder if the cortisol blocking effect would help with muscle growth, but I'm not too sure about the weight loss for lazy, obese people who are pigging out on low-carb yardbird.

frying chicken

Frying chicken isn't really all that hard. I've never personally fried chicken, but I've seen it done and fried other stuff. Scramble several eggs together, dip the chicken in that, then toss it around in some flour, corn meal, maybe low carb atkins flour, etc. Heat oil to 375 degrees and drop in...wait till golden brown. I think thats about it. You can add crap to the breading like the colonel's tasty seasonings or whatever.

sad thing is, the general public who have seen that commercial now think KFC is healthy for them.

lol, yes I did see, then I ran to the bathroom to get all the bull-SHIT ouf of my eyes.

I'm sure if they altered the 13 seasonings and drop the salt and fry the chicken in olive/walnut oil, then it would be fairly ok - but the possibility of that happening is akin to Mosley Brown (spelling problem) being elected as president.

I saw that commercial too and wondered about the coating & the oil they fry it in. C'mon! Give me a break!!

About frying your own chicken, how about using the ole Forman Grill? Take a chicken breast & rinse, dip in beaten egg whites & dredge in breading. Now instead of using bread crumbs, could you use bran flakes, wheat flakes, etc maybe pulsed in a food processor? I buy fine wheat bran at a health food store. Just add seasoning & cook on the Foreman grill. Not the same as KFC, but at least you know what's in it!

What a joke !

What's next ?

Marlboro will say that their cigarettes are pretty much healthy because they don't contain any carbs ! :D

whats even funnier is they said its 3g fat per piece. Thats the biggest load of bs. Its more like 3gs of fat per bite.
