Anyone else gone Paleo?

i'm 2 weeks into the warrior diet...1 big meal a day. I sometimes juice some spinach and various other greens in teh morning, but no solid food till "after" the wkt. I've been fasting regularly for a couple years now so it's no big deal to go all day without food, but working out on an empty stomach was rough for the first few days to a week. The way your joints heal up when you're doing this is simply astounding. My joints haven't felt this good since I did Deca.

thats great about your joints. so how does the warrior diet work? I've had some of my best workouts in the early morning, fasted, or maybe a cup of coffee.

I don't really look at the paleo diet as a "diet" per se. i won't eventually revert back to my old ways. I'm perfectly fine not having dairy, pasta, grains, etc. for the rest of my life. Will i cheat - I certainly will have some pizza and beer watching the Superbowl but I'll go back to my normal paleo routine

the warrior diet is just one big meal a day. I think it allows for raw foods earlier in the day like nuts and seeds, but nothing cooked until the one meal. Yeah if I was a better morning person I would have been working out in the morning for awhile now.

I've been reading some interesting new research on fasting actually. THey did a study on muslim rugby players who were fasting for ramadan. So I think they were only able to eat like once a day or once every few days and only after sundown or some shit like that, Traz could probably give specifics here. ANyway, they found that GH, IGF, norpeniferine (sp?) and other powerful hormones shot way up. In fact they say that detecting these hormones in normal individuals is almost impossible but they know it's being made, but when people are fasting so much is being released it's easy to detect. The reason our bodies make these hormones is because it used to be when we hit the fasted state our bodies were telling us to go out and hunt. So the GH is for muscle preservation and the other nuero chemicals are to make our minds sharper and clearer, increasing the connection between the brain and muscles. What I found really interesting is that biologically, when our bodies want us to be at our most athletic.....it shuts testosterone off. The test only comes back on once there is a caloric surplus. Test may actually be kind of an inefficient and overrated muscle builder. Yeah it works in synthetic form but as most of us know here you gotta take alot of it and over time you have to take more and more. It's probalby why shit goes away so fast once you stop. We might be overlooking more useful and more powerful chemicals.

Thats very interesting, and makes complete sense. Thats how our ancestors lived for millions of years and how our bodies are designed. I wonder if the release of GH would be enough to actually cause decent growth or just enough to cary our bodies out of the catabolic state we got ourselves into by fasting.

I've been following "lean gains" intermittent fasting for about 6 months, really like it.

Do you hit keto following Paleo?

Just teasing

well the amount of GH being released is supposed to tide you over for a couple days. Actual catabolism doesn't happen till the 72-96 hours mark...that's fucking impressive. That literally means you don't lose an ounce of real muscle, so long as you're taking in water, for 3-4 days. So if you're hitting that meal once a day and maybe doing a 2 day fast every other week or so you should be a GH machine.

That's interesting where did you get that info from?
