Anavar is a bad choice...I think....

I posted about a week ago with my diet and exercise stuff and with all of the advice I got (and implementing the changes) I've lost an additional 3 pounds. I dropped the personal trainer I hired because he was...let's say...a D-BAG. His advice was to eat nothing and do cardio until I puke. Now that I know that isn't right, I have to ask another question. I still go to the same gym so I see him every day and he is CONVINCED that I need Anavar. Won't that hinder my weight loss? I'm not interested in steroids...but is he right? He can't be...

LOL at D-BAG trainer. In terms of weight lose if your not interested in touching steroids then don't. You can clearly reach your goals without them and never have to experience any of the possible side effects. What something like anavar would do is hold onto muscle well doing increased amount of cardio with restricted calories.

Thanks for clarifying. I'm thinking he may have a vested interest in my purchase. My impression of steroids is that they aren't a bad thing, my dad used them in the early and mid 90s to compete and in our house they were as common as vitamins when he was pre contest, but I just don't want to jiggle anymore. With no interest in being on a stage it just seemed a little extreme.

I think that if you hire him as a trainer and get good results, it looks better on him.

Steroids obviously work, so it is his ace in the hole that you will get results.

AAAH so true.

Good job on firing his ass too. Now you can come and get some real advice from girls who have been there before.

I find it incredibly tacky when big macho guys so a female who's trying to improve their self image/physique/weight and instead of helping with diet, good exercises and GOOD cardio they try and shove AAS down their throats. Women use AAS but unless you're competing, no female NEEDS aas. I can't tell you how many guys have come to boards asking cycle advice for var, winny, test E, prop, DNP, t3... it's like ARE YOU KIDDING ME?? I knew a guy who gave his wife Test injections to help their sex life. She didn't even belong to a gym, she didn't work out.. AT ALL.

vent over. If you want to try var because YOU WANT TO and you think you're ready to.... that's absolutely your decision, your body. But don't do it because some douche bag is telling you to. But you may not reep the full benefits of it compared to if you were at your weight loss goals... var gives a nice lean muscle look with a bit of vascularity... it does other things but that is one big reason people like it.... if you have to lose more weight and do not have visible muscle definition... you will not SEE the effects of var.... although you will feel increased strength, etc... And this might frustrate you because you might think you're doing something wrong, and you're not... you know?

Hi Dmarie,

If you're looking to lose weight, I'll be happy to guide you.
Please post what you eat and drink through the day and I'll tweak it for you. You don't need to use any type of drugs, just a good diet. It will keep you trim and healthy.

Thandie, here is the link to her first thread...

Melaina, I hate it too...it makes me sick to see guys trying to get girls to take things like clen (amongst others). It seems so common to ahve new girls posting that a guy told them to use some drug they clearly have no clue about (even things like DNP).

Dmarie, I am so glad you fired that retard. We'll take good care of you here. Based on the goals I think you have, I do not believe anavar is necessary. Steroids are not fat burners.

It blows my mind how little most guys know about AAS. The fact is at my gym you have 165lb guys taking more AAS then some IFBB Pro's I know!
Then you have guys who think you have to take a lot to maintain size. Last time I checks I naturally produce 30mgs of test a week and I am 250lbs!!!
The womens forum is such a great place to ask questions cause you get educated answers! :)

Thanks, Neff. Because she has started this new thread, I'm guessing she'Il post here.

Well put, and quite possibly so.

I might add that cutting your calories too low and doing too much cardio, like it sounds like he was suggesting, is a good way to keep fat on you. He's not only a douche, but incompetent.

Thanks for everyone's input. My cardio is down to 30 minutes 5 days a week. I use the machines and some free weights (but to be honest I don't like the free weights because I feel like I'm not doing it correctly...thats why I hired a trainer...the irony). My diet today was: 1/2 cup egg whites, organic instant oatmeal, 2 pieces of turkey bacon for breakfast; mid-morning "meal" was half of cold chicken breast and handful of almonds; lunch was lettuce wraps with turkey and tomatoe; afternoon "meal" was a no carb protein shake with an added banana and some granola; dinner was 6 oz steak with baked sweet potato (nothing on it) and about a cup of broccoli. I only drink water...no crystal light or anything. I read something on here about adding a lemon or cucumber slice to water and I'll try that tomorrow. I'll try to keep track of what I eat EVERYDAY and make sure it's consistent. THANKS FOR ALL OF THE HELP! (OH!!!! I saw my trainer in all of his bleach blonde-mohawk glory today and he says he sees no improvement in my body at all...funny because I see a HUGE change. Bitter much?)

Dmarie, you're right by getting about 5 meals a day. However, try this just for kicks.

Meal #1 Your 1/2 c oatmeal and 4 scrambled egg whites (or any other way, but fried)
#2 Your cold chicken with a small salad and 1/2 cup of brown rice.
#3 Protein shake. BTW, a banana has between 19g to 34g of carbs depending on the size.
#4 Chicken or turkey with sweet potato and vegetables.
#5 Fish and vegetables.

CARBS are very good for you, btw, as long as you have complex starchy, fibrous carbs. Always have whole food and try to avoid any processed foods.

Try to not have steak for dinner. Steak is high in fat and it takes two days to digest.

Carbohydrates will increase your metabolism, therefore you'll burn calories and lose weight.
Although almonds have good fat, I rather you get your fat from your food. In addition, have 1 teaspoon of fish oil and 1 tsp of flaxseed oil in your shake. If with that you're not getting about 30 to 35g of fat, then have 15 almonds.

The low-carbs diet is best (for those who love it) to lean out when competing. You, however, need to increase your metabolic rate and by having low carbs your metabolism will stall.

Wow...what a dick. No halfway decent trainer would say something that demotivational to someone. I really hope you didn't take a BIT of it to heart.

Thanks Thandie! This is all so confusing to begin with. I didn't really care that "douche bag trainer" felt the need to say something like that. He just wants my money. I guess some people would be like "damn, I guess I need your help then...", but I'm not interested. I've found so much here that I don't feel like I need him at all. I'm stuck in my small hometown for the summer, but in August when I go back to Austin maybe I'll find someone better if I think that's the route I need to take. I'm sure he'll leave me alone after the gym manager finds the polite yet informative note that I left under his door. I hate to be a bitch, but his presence is toxic. I'm trying to better myself and I pay to be there. Harassment was not a part of the membership agreement.

You did the right thing about leaving a note to the manager, or he will continue to miss inform and harass other clients.
If you have any questions, please don't hesitate.

Pardon my language but FUCK HIM!!!
Maybe he is blinded by the glare of his empty wallet. What a loser.
