I thought that in all competitions the monolift is used for squats. :confused: I couldnt imagine taking a step backward with 1102 :eek2:

Not true the organization that ED Coan is in doesn't use it ..as far as I know.... I know for a fact that when DR Squat did 1000 squat he stepped back with it and had to rerack it.

as far as monolift usage, it depends on the fed. I also have seen guys that are used to walking it out as part of their setup walk the weight back a step or two from the monlift. Coan has never used one in competition as far as I know, I've seen him squat 975 and 1038 in person.

Didn't he compete in the WPO last year...and win?

I have read about Goggins for years. . . If I remember correctly, he was squatting around 800lbs in 1995 and 1996.

1102lbs. . . . .unreal!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
