adding peak to ur biceps!!!!!

I read in Muscular Development recently that the double high pulley cable curls put emphasis on the short head or long head of the bicep (whichever one is on top that peaks when yu flex it).

I have long arms and I have thick biceps with no peak.

After a month of this excercise, I've added a little peak. Seriously. Plus I added five lbs to my dumbbell curls (the cable curls may/may not have contributed).

Just conitue to pack on the mass and you will appear to have improved peaks as your bi's grow.

To simply confirm what has already has been said...

In this case two significant individuals come to mind, Larry Scott, Arnold Schwarzenegger and Albert Beckles.
If you look at Larry's arms when he was at his peak you would notice that they are full and long but lacking any real "peak", conversely Arnold's arm had both length and height and to complete the comparison Albert has all the "peak" one could ever ask for but has a complete lack of length. Does this make them any less of a completive bodybuilder... absolutely not, each have stream of titles and each are a legend in the sport.
Now, as far as exercises are concerned the ones that seem to add greater height would be the following:
~ Standing or Seated Concentration Curls
~ Lying Dumbbell Curls
~ Two-handed Cable Curls
These will add as much to the height of the biceps but in the end, as has been stated above in other posts... genetics is the limiting factor, some have it and some just never will; however, I am sure that as you develop and grow you will learn of a body-part that you can develop and shape far better than someone else so that perhaps you can exploit it... Tom Platz had his amazing legs; Larry Scott had almost perfect arms and the list goes on. My friend, may training be good and life be better.

Try these: Concentration curls w/dumbbell or cable,
Use peak Contraction principle-flexing the biceps as hard as possible at top of the movement.:fro:
 
You ever see Arnold bending over with his hand on a knee doing curls - like in Pumping Iron. That was one of his 'peak' exercises.

Hammer curls are supposed to be pretty good also for peak. But as has been said, if you have 19" arms already without any sign of peak - you may be behind the genetic 8ball.
 
I agree that peak is 100% genetic but without fully developing your biceps and brachialis youll cut your genetic potential short. I would suggest hitting your biceps hard with strict barbell curls using perfect form and gradually trying to increase the weight. I would also add alternating dumbbell hammer curls (in front of your body, bringing each dumbbell to the opposite pec) which will hit your brachialis hard.

As long as you stick to both of these basic exercises I think youll make good gains in your bicep/brachialis development. Good luck bro.

Arnold Curls, for those that don't know, its concentration curls, standing up bent over with your free hand resting on your knee, curl and touch you opposite shoulder and make sure to twist the ole wrist, dop setting these fries the bis like nothing else, specially the peak area
