I read in Muscular Development recently that the double high pulley cable curls put emphasis on the short head or long head of the bicep (whichever one is on top that peaks when yu flex it).
I have long arms and I have thick biceps with no peak.
After a month of this excercise, I've added a little peak. Seriously. Plus I added five lbs to my dumbbell curls (the cable curls may/may not have contributed).
