I'm sure we all have this problem, but I want to be serious with my diet and being a teenager (20 this year) means I often go out to clubs/parties until late.
Most of the food there is obviously **** and I don't drink, so if I eat my last meal at 8pm, then go out until late, I often don't get any calories or protein until I get home and crash, which is usually around 1am (often later). Obviously, this isn't ideal.
Would it be adequate if I took a couple of handfuls of almonds to fit in my pocket and eat them while I am out? (I'm assuming this would be about 180 calories of fat and fibre - would this last me until I get some protein once I arrive home?)
OR is 5+ hours too long to go without any protein? If so, I could fit some protein powder in my pocket (whey/casein) and down a shake with my nuts (lol, while others will be drinking alcohol in the club, I will be having a shake
).
K for advice.
