I just finished an HST bulking cycle and while HST is not optimized for strength gains, I decided to test a few 1 rep maxes anyway.

The results are as follows:

Lift Previous New
Bench 245lbs 265lbs
Squat 250lbs 285lbs
Dead 355lbs 365lbs

I gained some decent weight this cycle, so I'm not surprised about the new maxes, they are higher than I expected though.

I'll probably post some size measurements to this thread tomorrow, after the pump wears off.

nice man, how did u like the HST

I like it quite a bit, this was my third full cycle, the first bulking. All three cycles posted strength gains, despite the fact that I was cutting during the first two. I take that as a pretty good indication of muscle retention.

I've been trying to maximize hypertrophy to fill out my frame. I'm 6'4" and grew up skinny-fat with a naturally large waist, so I'm not exactly blessed in the bodybuilding department.
