I get the feeling you may have missed something between the 2. At this point you can probably continue doing what you are doing for a while but as the weights increase, that's a lot of volume to handle. I don't know how low you started but if you stop progressing for a period - maybe a week or a bit more (i.e. not just a bad day, all lifts start to decay) you need to turn it off fast and deload using the 2x protocol in the first link.

i picked the dual one, i started at 65% of my 1RM for the first week, and have added 10-20 pounds every week, so far.

oh trust me, im beat after every freaking workout, the first 2 weeks were simple, 3 and 4 were rough as shit, the 5th week im sure will be medium, but from there on, im pretty sure im gonne be hurting every day.
 
Oh, okay. So I'm guessing you aren't using now or just completed the rep scheme you posted in post #8 but are using 3x3/3x1 or some variation from week 5 (now) through the end. That makes sense. Week 5 is nice. Like vacation. A lot less work comparably so you can breeze through to a degree.
 
I'm betting your partner will see results alot quicker then you just because he is new where you have been doing it for years and your body is starting to plateau.. but its always good to see the scale go up especially while the strength goes up!
