2 Postworkout Shakes?

MonStar1023

I am going to be eating 2 postworkout shakes for the next couple months as stated in Animalbolics... but I am confused as to how I should split up my supplements..

Postworkout #1 (immediately after)
40g whey protein
100g maltodextrin + dextrose combo
5g creatine + 5g glutamine
1.5g arginine
100 mg. ALA

Postworkout #2 (1-2 hours after)
40g whey protein
100g maltodextrin + dextrose combo
5g creatine
1.5g arginine
100 mg. ALA

:D:D
Does this look alright for replenishing glycogen?

Yeah its definitely confusing isnt it? Shit I thought the exact same thing until I read it again and again!!

:D:D
Anyway is that good for spacing out the supplements?

ummmm.. Monstar. You're trying to cut right?
I would seriously have you conside approach cutting in a less radical manner
personaly, i think the diet looks (and probably will tasted (not to mention smell--with 2 protein shakes)) like shit
just my .02

Monstar, I remember reading that it was protien only on second shake followed by a meal w/ carbs and protein. This would make some sense to me b/c of the following: Your first shake w/ protein/carbs will refuel you glycogen stores and bring back the needed carbs and add protein for growth. Second shake would seem useless for carbs b/c you already replenished your stores. Your meal after the second shake would consist of carbs and protein so you will keep the carbs in your system for energy from now until your next meal w/ carbs again. This is the way i understood it, i mean that's the way i rationalized it, if at all i'm right or not i don't know. You figure each shake will stay in your system for most 2hrs, so at 2 hours you want another quick digested food to maintain anabolism during that 3-4 hour window. After that you can have a solid meal, and that would take much longer to digest. And the reason for carbs on this solid meal is that you aren't going to have carbs i believe till tommorow. The carbs will keep you going and prevent muscle wasting as energy. At least that's the way i see it. Who really knows lol. But in my mind it makes sense to me ;) :p

Monstar, on an added note, i went through the same shit you did w/ that article. I had to reread it a few times b/c of how confusing it is. I think it has to do w/ it being a bit unorthodox, now what we're used to kind of theory you know?
