I was doing lots of cardio riding my bicycle before my contest, and never had any knee pain or any problems.
1 week after I stopped all the cardio, my knees got sore - you know, like when walking down stairs, etc, and also when I ride my bike now. Why only AFTER the volume got radically dropped did they get sore?
And is the knee pain in any way related to the water retention? Like, could all the extra fluid in my legs be pressing something it shouldn't? (don't laugh at my ignorance, please) It's in the front part of the patella - typical bike-riding knee pain. I think I need to raise my seat.
(Side note: water retention seems to getting much better, but the knees aren't)
