Where can I find GIRL lifting routines, with exercise, set, and rep numbers?

Some girls do get big and bulky such as gymnasts, softball girls, and a few others. I know that won't happen to her because the training will be entirely different plus she doesn't have the body type to get that way, what's hard is getting her to understand that she won't get big from lifting. Anyone have some pics they can post or some names of fitness models that in your opinion have amazing physiques. I need to give her some inspiration something to shoot for.

This is a great site by a lady lifter. Lots of good articles and storys. She's an advocate of deadlifts and squats and spends a lot of time trying to dispell the "don't wanna get too big" issues.

http://www.stumptuous.com

I dont have any pictures of my wife, but i think spatts looks great. maybe to big for her. but monica brant is another example.

I think what happened is that the only representation of female weightlifting up until recently was female BB or aerobics bunnies. Not many girls want to look like female bb and they immediately associate lifting with being bulky and go straight for the cardio.

The thing most women who are new to fitness don't realize is that they can lift heavy all they want and they will never get bulky. Their primary hormone is catabolic, unless they alter this there isn't a chance in hell they will get as big as the female bb, or even most of the fitness competitors. So tell her to relax, lift heavy and get strong, she'll have to buy the bulk.

If the amount of the weight lifted was directly proportional to size, Bigguns15 and I would be about...what...500 pounds?

:lmao:

When you see a gymnast, softball player, hell even a powerlifter that is musclular but looks "bulky," that's called FAT! When you take alot of muscle and cover it with even a little fat, you just look...bulky. That's not a result of the training, that's a result of diet.

Her fear and concern is getting all big and bulky.

Unless she has some freaky genetics, this just won't happen. In all my 8 years of powerlifting, the big and bulky women that I have seen have all had the help of some extra hormones. That is by far the most common fear I hear from women about weight training. Sometimes, I think it's just an excuse rather than a fear though.
