A lot like cows?
We are nothing like cows, they're not trying to put on muscle, they're dumb animals and just eat grass all day. They have 3 stomachs and regurgitate their food. They only eat grass, try eating like that and seeing how much muscle you put on. I don't see any relationship to cows.
But anyway, the idea of eating all day is good, if you can fit it into your schedule. It probably would be optimal for putting on muscle mass, but not necessarily for health reasons. Also, it would be a bitch to prepare food since things like work and school get in the way during most of the day in most of our lives. if you manage to pull it off and have to luxury to do it, more power to you. Paul Burton talked about it at the Gen-mag site, he's a successful competitor and it worked for him.
