Twitching muscles

PANTS

New member
It's really weird, but the day after my workouts my Triceps involuntarily "twitch" at rest.
I'll be sitting back relaxing, watching the TV or something and they just fire away. Sometimes really hard?
I try stretching them and flexing them and it seems to have no effect.
Anyone know why?

i sometimes get twitching in my quadricep.....once the twitching was so strong that it was making by leg kick a little.

I think it has something to do with the nerve that connects to the muscle not retracting its impulses properly. Like the synapse between the muscle and nerve end has been blocked. Usually dissapears after time.

I had that happen to me for a whole week when I would have my arm stretched out a certain way. Went away on its own.

Yeah, but we're talking day 3 now, and even after a heavy training session its still kicking away.
I may have to hack it off with a chainsaw cos its getting annoying now.

try magnesium supplements. Thats what was wrong with me....cramps and involentary contractions. also i had disturbed sleeping patterns......which have cleared up.

I get that once in a while. Now that you mention it, less frequently since I've introduced more vitamins & mineral suppliments into my diet. I kinda liked it :)

Heh now that you mention it since i started taking multi's I have yet to have that problem, but it could be a million other things.

Thats funny. I allso used to have my muscles twitching really fast. I like the feeling when some part of my trapps went bezerk and started spazzing out. Felt nice when it stopped.

Chillin infront of the tv and all of the sudden it feels like someone is playing with drumsticks on my back :)

I think in my years of working out I've gotten spasms/twitching in just about every muscle.. Just give it a few days it'll go away

endpoint: I'm currently taking 500mg with my Protein shakes at night.
Thats around 550mg per day including all the Mag they put in to my daytime shakes.
Its finally gone now anyway, but good to know I'm not the only one with the "twitch":p
