Those first few weeks post-contest ...

I've heard that too, but for my only one comp I did stupid me was afraid to get fat and continued to diet.:bawling:

Full marks for Arioch. What SteelWeaver failed to mention was that she's only got a few months before she has to diet for her next comp. I think she needs to stuff her face for 10 days to 2 weeks to get the full anabolic rebound effect. That combined with weight training will give her the best shot at mass gain with minimal fat gain in a short period of time, and ensure her metabolism is as high as it can get before she has to diet again. It depends on your goals really. If you a professional fitness model and need to look hot for photo shoots, or want to stay hot looking for the beach then you shouldn't do this. But if it's muscle mass your after then EAT. You honestly will put on very little fat in those first few weeks post comp.

Debu, have you forgotten what it feels like? It's been a real pleasure :alien: This time, though, you'll have "anabolic eating" to look forward to!

I LOVE MS's take on things: "go ahead and EAT girl!" Oh yeah! Forget ONE week, I'm going for TWO! Pizza, peanuts, ice-cream, chocolate croissants, CHEESE, cheese, CHEESE.

And I think I'm gonna do Cornholio's old-school programme - lots of deads and squats and compound stuff, none of that foofy cable crap, then a strength cycle, then something similar to now to wind up to the next contest.

I'm confident I'll grow much faster than before - training and diet are finally in a more secure place for me. Squats and deadlifts are my friends. Oatmeal is my S.O. lol!

Sassy - mmm, maybe I WILL put up one or two pics, then you can tell me what you think. I really don't know, but the mirror smiles on me most days ("Mirror, mirror, on the wall ...) But dang those heavy barbell curls look good with that bulging vein down the bicep and popping up there where it ties into the delt. Just wanna do rep after rep! LOL! REP after REP

BTW - how's your prep going?
