Theoretical question about chocolate

I know it is a sillyquestion for those who are serious dieters, but bear with me. Letssuppose theoretically, that I have 14 chocolate sweets. I can notthrow them away – I just have to eat them. Which scenario will leadto least fat gains?

  1. I eat them all at once.
  2. I eat 2 per day for one week
  3. I eat 1 everyday for 14 days

My guess is option numberone – I have not heard of anyone getting fat just because they atesomething once, even if that was a lot. Especially, if you follow alow carb diet, you can do a carb loading day with this. So what isyour theory about it?

In my opinion it would be option 3, but you know - this is a complicated question. I am sure that @muskate will chime in soon with the best choice, as he is a real dieting guru.

Option 4. Present them in a nice box to your girl/boy/transgender object of affection

hahaha - you made my day @stevemobster!

LOL. I was gonna add a 5 and a 6 ;)

Option 3.

Remember that our bodies are still in survival mode. Whenever you eat a huge amount of calories in one sitting, your body goes 'hey, we don't need all of these calories right now. Let's store some of it (as fat) for later use!'

One small piece of chocolate every day if incorporated into a well balanced diet plan really won't hurt you. An entire box of chocolates, that becomes a problem.

In the end it wont make a huge difference either way. You could try tracking your calories that way if you eat one of them you can account for it and not go over your total daily calories.

Hmm, that is very interesting. Did not think that the body can put on fat so fast - though it was a result of a long lasting lack of diet, not a single case of such. Thank you for the interesting information.
