The Shakes

Every time I workout I lose energy very quickly, get the shakes and feel like I am going to pass out. I know that diet has a lot to do with it so I am going to post my diet here. Please offer any advice you feel will help me. I am hypoglycemic and eat carbs with every meal.

2/3 old fashioned oats w/ handful of dried blue berries and a splash of almond milk
1 egg and 2 egg whites scrambled
1 cup coffee with 1 tsp truvia and 2 tbsp sugar free creamer

tuna w/mustard on a whole wheat tortilla with romaine lettuce and spinach
greek yogurt

lentil soup (clean eating recipe) 1 ladle full

apple with 2 handful of almonds

baked tilapia fillet with morton's seasoning, baked sweet potatoes and loads of steamed green veggies

Late night snacking is not my thing but if I do eat a snack it is usually nuts and seeds

This is what I ate yesterday but generally I eat the same breakfast every morning and snack in the afternoon. Otherwise, I mix it up with other clean foods.

I drink 4-5 64oz water bottles a day and green tea. I treat myself to a diet soda once or twice a week while I am out grocery shopping or running errands.

Try drinking 1-2 liters of water just before you into your workout. Post back plz.

You drink 2+ gallons of water everyday? If that's correct, that much water is definitely not helping your low glucose issues at all. Unless you perspire quite profusely, you shouldn't be drinking more than 1 gallon a day.

considering your stated low blood glucose issues I wouldn't advice you to exercise before you've gotten at least a few carb meals in you each day. I'd frontload the carb intake so that you get at least 50% of your day's worth at breakfast. When you wake up your glucose is at it's lowest. You could use at least 40g of low GI carbs at the first meal, then probably another 30 at the next meal.

Also, you probably don't need to be consuming any caffeine at all. Caffeine causes temporary insulin resistance. That makes it harder for your body to move the glucose from your bloodstream into the muscles. That absolutely will contribute to your shakes.
