Well, I do'nt know if I have said it, but I recently added Deadlifts to my routine... not just stiffy's but the real deal...

And before, my lower back would always crap out on certain exercises... get tight, or hurt (because of getting a big pump or something, but it would render my workouts worthless after a while)...

Well, since starting deadlifts and (and squats for that matter) I have noticed that my lower back doesn't do that anymore... it is getting stronger and stronger... and it makes me feel more confident that I am not going to get injured....

Anyway... just a small thing. :)

Your back is a small thing? ;)

Good to hear that the squats and deadlifts are working for you.

No, my back is not a small thing... ASSHOLE! :)

Squats worked wonders for me 4 years ago... having been doing them for about 6 weeks now (front squats that is) I have noticed a tremendious change in my legs.

Deads I've been doing for about a month... and they.. well.. . are awesome... the weight has been going up like a Samuri Warrior. :)

Agreed, every trainee should have at least one of the following in their routine:

Stiff-legged deads
Sumo deads
Regular deads
Trap bar deads

The trap bar deadlift is an extremely underused exercise, probably due to the bar not being commonplace.

It is easier to do safely than regular deadlifts as well. Here is an article on this fantastic exercise: Here
