My dad legally adopted me when I was 2 years old, right after he married my mother. I didn't know until I was almost 25, but he ALWAYS treated me like his own son. I never knew a difference, and they had 3 kids together. I've used that as an example of how to be with B.

Him learn to straighten up his attitude around me? No, it wouldn't happen. There's bad blood between us and if I ever got face to face with him again, it'd end when I got pulled off of him. It would not go very well for him physically.
