Women tend to overtrain and under-eat a lot more then men. Thereby, women need more refeeds/carb-ups to keep their metabolism humming. On top of this, women tend to take longer to get into ketosis; thus, it's a 2 fold problem in a way. In general, I found a limited bodyopus/CKD/TKD mix to be effective for both men and women. 4 day CKD run with a TKD pre-workout carbs, 5th day partial ketosis with a full body and 2 days of a controlled refeed.
To answer your question, I think men would do better by staying longer in ketosis.
