Smolov Squat Cycle

I hear it's like a one time thing. You give it your all and make great gains in squatting power. You praise the crap out of it, but never ever do it again because it's too effin hard lol.

Least that's how it seems.

One day I will give it a go.;)
 
I've read reports of 75-100 pounds added to a 1RM.

You most definitely work for it though.

With squats four times a week I couldn't imagine doing much else. Maybe one upper body maintenance day. Bench, OHP, chins, dips, seated rows all done in the 8-10 rep range.

The added squat strength and leg size is very tempting though. If anything I'll run the smolov jr just to see if I have the testicular fortitude to see it through in the future.
 
I personally don't think I would attempt teh Smolov without "assistance".

I might be able to handle it clean, but I'd have to eat like a mofo, work an easy ass job and get a minimum 8 hours sleep every night.
