Sick of being fat, getting rid of it, any lifestyle tips appreciated. =)

So, this is my current diet written up by my former trainer ( I threw his new workout plan it was garbage, I think he had been learning to much about nutrition for the past while, he owns the gym I workout at now)

So here goes five meals.. in no real praticular order.

Oh yeah, my stats are 5'10 245 lbs, was 264 in the start of march.. 22 years of age.. god I keep feeling the urge to write 21.. .. /sigh..

ANYHOW IM TAKING BACK MY FUCKING LIFE AND LEARNING TO CONTROL THE ONLY THING I CAN HAVE ***COMPLETE*** CONTROL OVER!!! MY BODY!!! rawr..

back to the diet.. five meals..

first meal.. 2 whole eggs.. 2 eggwhites.. 2 pieces of 100% whole wheat bread..

second meal.. 2 scoops whey protien vanilla flavour.. and one cup of blueberries.. (kind of expensive right now) or one full banana.

third meal.. 100% whole wheat tortilla wrap, a can of tuna or alot of roast beef (generally I go with a can of tuna, since "alot" of roast beef is kind of a general statement, heh)

fourth meal, is the same as the fith meal.. which is..

8 ounces of chicken, pork, or fish (I mostly stick with chicken, very easy to cook) or 6 ounces of steak. with either 1 1/2 cups of jasmine rice, or 3 cups of pasta (not whole wheat), or sweat potatoe.. (Blah ick.. no thanks)

So this is my diet, and it comes out to about 2300 calories, honest to goodness, I think in the past month and half I have only eaten the full diet once or twice.. My trainer.. er nutritionist.. I'm just going to call him that from now on.. said that I could eat as much or as little as I wanted as long as my protien and carbs were balanced.. which they are.. very with this diet.. so that's what I do.. but meals.. four five.. generally lunch dinner.. are pretty massive.. with pasta especially.. 3 cups... .... wow..

ANYHOW this is a fairly strict diet that I follow, the only real things I've been suggest to use for flavour, by my nutrionist are .. pepper.. onions.. salsa.. etc.. light soy sauce.. any vegetables..

I am a horrible cook.. like seriously... bad... I mess up kraft dinner.. and I have a serious disability when it comes to cooking rice.. #@$@ which is very upsetting because I really enjoy it, hah, it's always to sticky.. or undercooked or something.. (yes I follow the directions on the package, like I said " rice disability" )

If anyone has any comments they'd like to make about my diet, or has any suggestions on how I could spice my diet up, without adding fat or salt.. or calories.. (bad stuff)

I have to stop calling it a diet.. hence why I changed the top.. this is a lifestyle change I'm making.. which is why it hasn't been painful, because changing MY LIFE is the only way shit is going to get done, their are no miracles when it comes to losing weight in my opinion, you gotta change your attitude and your lifestyle.

I'm sorry my posts are so long, I'm really sick.. (not really, but I complain a bit to much).. had a bad week last week.. cheated a little to much... didn't work out hard enough.. actually gained 2 LBS #@$@@#@$ .. anyways I'm not letting it discourage me.. I'm actually using it as a fuel for a very pissed off canadian dude, who is going to bust his ass this week, heh.

THANKS TO ANYONE WHO READ THIS MUCH ID GIVE YOU KARMA IF I HAD ANY.

and thank you, to anyone who can help me spice up my diet a bit.

Oh yeah, side note, which is what I wonder about, and what some of you may be wondering about.. where the fuck are the vegetables.. and the greens.. I often wonder this myself.. ><

I wouldn't make substuting some things for some vegetables if anyone has any good ideas, also I'm seriously looking into to taking some very essential supplements and vitamins everyday for an overall health increase.

Calcium.
Magnesium.
Vitamin C.
Vitamin E.
considering fish oils aswell, but those four are something I'm definately considering adding to my "lifestyle".

also... thinking about creatine.. but perhaps I should put this in the.. supplement section there.... hmmmm...

um.. yea.. what are you trying to do ?? bulk??

because there are too many carbs and the wrong type, and not near enough fat..

without re working the diet..

add 1 tbls of flax with each protein shake except pwo, and add dextrose to that one..

nope.. this is actually a diet that I've been using to lose weight.. I'm 245 atm 5'10, though I do want to get stronger, and have been alot recently, I'm going to be down to 200 by september, when I start university.

ok, I'll go get some flax, I didn't quite understand the except pwo?

I'll look for dextrose to add to whatever this pwo is, should I even be considering creatine if I want to lose weight, I want to get stronger, and have bigger muscles, but at the same time, I need to lose the gut. I also know that more muscles means a faster metabolism.

the breakdown of carbs portien fat was 40/40/20 looking at the spreadsheet, this is very similar to the diet I used with him last time when I lost 30 lbs in a month... though after that I had a chemical imbalance in my brain.. and became seriously depressed for about a year.. interesting.. BUT! I'm past the first month, feeling great happy excited and focused.

PWO is post workout.

You should be consuming your shakes around your workouts, pre and post. The rest of your meals should be whole foods as much as possible.

You need to throw in some green fiberous veggies, green beans, broccoli, something. Also you need to drop the regular pasta, its is terrible for a cutting diet. Whole wheat pasta once in a while isnt terrible, but for your purposes even that is a stretch. Also drop the banana its basically candy, stick with the frozen blueberries if anything. Get flax seed oil or caps like what was said before, it gives you some of your EFAs.

What are your workouts like? What are you doing and when? What are you eating or consuming around your workouts?

We need some more info from you if you want us to really get into tweaking things for you and making it best for best quality results.

Well, I always make sure I eat before I lift weights, something with carbs.. as clearly everything in my diet has carbs.. this diet has been successful for me so far.. 264 to 245.. in month and half.. mostly in the first month.. gained 2 lbs last week.. cheated alot mind you..

My workouts are about five days a week, 45 minutes to 90 minutes long, I push myself really hard, making sure the workout is intense with a little rest as possible, no pain no gain!

the majority of the weight I have lost has been with little or no cardio.. maybe an hour a week spread out.. over the course of the week..

though I'm really amping that up this week.. did 90 minutes yesterday.. with a solid workout before it.

I also always drink my whey shake after workout and try to have some carbs.. (banana) I know.. candy.. but it's so tasty.. =( lol. truely I can say my diet though not perfect as you have clearly pointed out, is leaps and bounds cleaner then how I was eating before.

Oh and the reason, the carbs are the way they are is because my nutritionist, he is was actually once a professional body builder, but went to school did massage therapy and then most recently nutrition said the pasta could be that way simply because he says that with a balance of protien and carbs, that it balances your hormones, something along those lines. I even asked about whole wheat pasta.

Dude, you will never have complete control over your body. Trust me on that one - it'll feel like you do and then you will be reminded that you are wrong.

It looks like you have the right idea more or less with the types of food though I didn't read through ALL of that. You need to figure out your maintenance calories (what you need to eat in a day to maintain your bodyweight) and the go from there. I like cycling my calories above maintenance for a couple months, then drop below for one-two months. I then eat at maintenance for two weeks ro so to bring my metabolism back up withuot putting the fat back on, and the usually repeat the process.

never have complete control.. way to take the wind out of my sails! heh /jk

Ok so I guess what I meant is like, how we spend all our lives trying to control things.. like our.. loved ones.. or income.. or housing.. the goverment.. (scandalous grits) .. but the one thing we have the "most" control over or can have the most control over would be our bodies or so I would assume and am telling myself.

alrighty, I will ask about maitenance calories, which I'm assuming are probably around.. the 2400-2800 mark? maybe less, but I'd imagine somewhere in there.
