Sassy: July 2006 - 41 & CA Bound

Re: Sassy: July 2006 - 41 & BB Bound

Took a couple days off, regrouped, got my sleeping back to normal (I think..). Change in the diet for 2 weeks - I think its been painfully obvious that my sleep patterns have impacted my diet, probably not eating enough. Cardio has suffered and all in all, time to reset. For two weeks, food goes way up, training should reflect some nice lift increases (I hope) and just made a promise to myself to be diligent w/ my visits to the massage therapist and focus on keeping my back working. Cardio -- going to take a drive down the road today & see if I can locate the stadium field that seems to be located behind my house - I see stadium lights at night & it sounds like a bunch of kids playing so there's gotta be some muthalovin track / bleacher setups there for sprints.

And in an hour, off to this career placement place for the next evaluation meeting, see if I want to hire them for mucho dineiro to get serious about my job search & relocation.

Quick update -

- hired the career placement firm - start working w/ them on Thurs. They gave me the 1 yr price instead of the 3 yr price which nicely puts it back into my budget. Very excited to dive in full steam w/ this.

- found where all the stadium lights are behind the woods from my house - very nice Christian middle school / academy w/ a beautiful football field & track to do sprints on. They even have an "athletic center' - like a real building devoted to indoor sports & admin for the various sports programs they have. Nicer than my first university as a matter of fact. I even talked to their nice athletic director to get the scoop on the local residents using the field. Very nice people! So AM SPRINTS BABY!

- Picked up about $200 worth of protein from Costco today so I'm set for ... awhile anyway. I sat in traffic for at least an hour coming home no thanks to a Greyhound bus that apparently ignited and some doofus driving a truck loaded down w/ hay that managed to spill all over I-285 during rush hr and he's out in the middle of it trying to pick it up by hand. Wonderful.

- And I'm collectively in a rant mood tonite.

Tomorrow --- new diet, new cardio / interval, training shoudl reflect the increase in cals for the next 2 weeks.

LMAO -- well AM sprints turned into AM Sitting & waiting for the rain to stop....

Looks like its going to be balls to the wall training instead. Diet went well tho. Currently engaged in the tedious process of re-entering my resume into the career company's online database thingy. God. One drawback to being in the business world for 20 years, esp thru the tech boom & bust, is all the damn job descriptions I have to enter. One of the funniest parts of the skills & career assessment is to enter two major life achievements, and the first one has to be prior to age 12. No idea why, but I was sort of like... um I vaguely remember Watergate... that's about it.....

Well thats great news that you were able to find the stadium, but kinda sucks that the rain delayed your workouts :( I had the same issue today so I just winded up at spin class myself and oh what a whoop it was :)
