Sassy: July 2006 - 41 & CA Bound

Gettin' ready to face the interview - 2 hrs 13 minutes. I gotta leave early so I can find the parking area & the office itself. I know where the building is, but its always impossible to find the parking lot in a cluster of buildings.

I've got my little stack of notes "questions to ask at the job interview" and what not. I'm sure I'll forget it all when I get there. :)

...Just waiting patiently.

I really just HAD to go pop 2 Cardio Breeze & an Al-Tyr.... Now I'm just trying to come down from them before the interview....

omg.

Job:
Well, the interview went very well I thought. The stinker was that its Friday afternoon before Labor Day weekend. I was originally told I was going to meet w/ the hiring manager as well as the head of their engineering department and a few other people. Well, the engineering guy has been out sick for 2 days and everyone else left. I didn't even get a tour of the office. The hiring manager is on vacation all next week but she still wants me to meet w/ the engineering guy. So I'll have to either wait or rely on the recruiter to get that meeting arranged. But generally speaking I thought the meeting went well.

I also got an email tonite saying my dipshit career guy has left the company and they assigned me to someone else and its up to me to contact the guy. Nice. We'll see how that goes. I'm rather pissed to say the least.

Also tonite I started chatting w/ my buddy at the company in San Fran who passed on me after the 2nd phone interview. He said he had had lunch w/ their CEO today & was again sayign how great I am (I love this guy!) and the CEO asked to see my resume. He also mentioned that he might be put in the position of the guy I originally interviewed w/ (i.e. hiring mgr).... anyway .. some glimmer of hope on that front....

As I look at putting together a trip out to CA in 2 weeks, we'll see if I maybe arrange a little hop up to SF.

House:
Still working on the counter offer. No idea how this will turn out & if yes, what time frame to move or whatever.

Diet:
Very light today due to not wanting to have to use the bathroom in the middle of the interview.

Training:
Skipped today as my knee was flaring after hiking around the building for the interview in my spike shoes.

And now I can't sleep. Waiting for the Tylenol PM to kick in.

Well... I if it wasn't for the "dipshit career guy has left the company"....I think It was a good day for you! The best thing about itis That you can just log on to EF and then life becomes beautiful!!!LOL...I am an idiot!!!LMAO...
I hope you have a great weekend!!!

fingers, toes and eyes still crossed but it is getting hard to focus on the computer and type LOL!
