Real sore day after injection

From what I have heard so far, you should be ok in a couple days. I had the same thing this weekend. It must be what buffdoc described. Man - it hurts like a bitch!! 3 days later, mine is finally getting better today. Steps to avoid this: 1- INJECT REALLY REALLY SLOW 2- Heat gear up before injection (run full syringe under hot tap water) 3- Massage the shit out of the area after to disperse fluid 4- apply heat after if necessary....

Well, today, 5 days after the injection, the soreness is starting to go down along with the lump. I never got this sore before. Even my first injection was not this bad.

I think what concerned me so much is the day after the injection, I could not walk or sit, and I felt like I had a bad fever even though my temp was normal. This has never happened to me from any injections.

I appreciate the support all of you guys gave me. It really helped me out alot.

Man, you're describing exactly what I am going thru...did my first (ever) shot last night around 10 pm and hit a friggin nerve, definitely felt that electric shock sensation, very brief, pulled the needle back (23g, 1.5") a little, than start pumping slowly.
Felt OK all night, got up this morning without ANY symptoms, went to the gym, had a great workout (shoulders).
Than around 1 pm today it all started to unfold slowly. First soreness, and than got progressively worse. Now (it is 9:30 pm) I am in agony. Feels like I am walking with a kitchen knife stuck in my buttock.
Not so much the pain, but that nerve is just cramping me. Every step is hard. No redness, butt cool to touch, no lumps yet.
Today is day 1, so I'll keep you posted.
Man, this sucks!

I feel for you bro.

You impacted the psciatic nerve. Hurt like a mofo didnt it. Took almost 24 hrs to pass for me. Sheer agony. Absolutely no sleep and not one pain killer will will have any effect. Just have to ride it
out.

Day 2 is a bit better for me, still limping with that "knife in the buttock" feeling, but the pain level is down.
Hope I won't hit that nerve again, or next time I'll be hugging the ceiling fan.
I guess we've been introduced to the House of Pain.

Well, one nice thing about this is now that I have experienced this pain, I won't tend to worry about it as much as I did for the next time.
