Real sore day after injection

New member
This is my first cycle. I am doing 400/400 Deca and Test Enth.
The first couple of injections, I got sore but nothing all that bad. After that, I would barely get sore. Well, on Wednesday, I took my 7th injection, did it the way I always do, swab with alcohol, inject into glute then swap again with alcohol. I did not do the injection. Someone else does it for me. I use a 25 guage needle, 1". I am pretty lean and the needle does get pushed in the whole way.

Everything went good that day. I was not sore at all. The next day (Thursday) I woke up and went to work. I started to feel sore in my glute, and I started having trouble walking a little and sitting hurt a little. Cause of the soreness. I went in the bathroom to feel for a lump, and I did feel a little one. But the spot was not hot and there was no redness at all. Allthough it feels like there is a golf ball in my glute. The bump don't feel that big, but the soreness makes it feel that way. It hurts if I push on the injection site. Almost like a bad bruise but there is no viable bruse that I see.

I came home from work and started to feel like I had a fever. I took my temp. and it was normal. I went to sleep for a while because I felt like I had a fever.

The next day I called off of work because I felt sick. (Flu Like) The soreness is still there. I also feel like I have a temp. but it is normal. I don't have to much of an appetite. The walking is getting a little better, but not by much. My main concern is an abcess. What should I look for? I called the doc and told him that I was feeling like I had a fever and asked him to call a perscription in for anti's which he did.
Anyone have any feedback on this? I did searching and found some answers but I wanted to post my situation.

You need to get new needles. 25 g needle is too big which means you were probably injecting too fast. 1 inch is too short for the glute. You need to get 1.5" and stick it "ALMOST" all the way in leaving about a quarter inch out.

As long as there is no redness or swelling you should be fine. You know what they say, No Pain No Gain.

Welcome the game newbie.

25 gauage to big. No 25 is fine. 1 1/2 tip would be better for glute injection though. Not sure why your so sore but there are many possibilties. I dont think you hav much to worry about though. If the pain is really bad this will usually make your sick. Your body senses something wrong from swelling and causes you to run a fever to slow down replication of possibly bacteria or a virus. I would just power through it. thinkgs should return to normall. But then some bros on here will tell you to get your ass to a doc. Me id walk it off. Your body did not like something, maybe possibly your gear , and is telling you about it.

If you're calling somebody a newbie you should get the gauges of needles straight.

25g is a very fine grade pin- definitely not too thick.

The gear that I am using came from the same bottle as the other injections so I don't think it is the gear. I just never has this type of soreness before. I use a new needle every time and I use an 18 guage to draw, and a new 25 guage to shoot. So when the needle goes into my glute, it is new.
I might be worrying for nothing, but I wanted to check with you guys. I don't want to go to the doc unless I really have to. The pain don't bother me, I'll deal with that, it is more thinking that I may have an abcess or infection.

A little pain and soreness is normal but if the site starts getting more painful and red or warm to the touch you should see a doctor as you may have an abscess.

Well, it is not a little sore, it is real sore. If I push on the injection sight, it hurts pretty good. I have been sore before from injections, but nothing like this. I checked it out today (Sat ) and the lump seems bigger. This is 3 days after the injection. It is not warm and it is not red.

If I flex my glute, you can see a lump the size about 2" x 3". If I don't flex, you cannot notice it. The soreness has not gone away. The fever/flu like syptoms has gone though today. If I am laying in bed and I go to pick my leg up to my chest, it feels like by butt muscles are stretching, and it hurts. Just on the injection side of course.

I may go and see the doc on Monday if I am able. What should I tell him? I am not going to tell him that I am taking as. I was thinking about telling him that I was injecting B12. Can you buy B12 injectable legally? I don't know to much about it. What does it do? Energy boost?

Does anyone think that since the flu like syptoms went away that maybe I don't have to worry about it even though the soreness is still there?

Occasionally I have hit a blood vessel or nerve when injecting.
When this happens to me, I am much more sore than normal and
I develop a small lump. Every time, the lump has been worse on the second or third day and then begins to subside.

I caused this once by injecting 3cc's into one site, which I never do now and another time I hit a nerve and pushed through, which caused some trauma and swelling.

My rule of thumb is that if there is no redness or discoloration and if the lump is stable and not growing, it will probably go away.

If you don't have a fever and it doesn't appear to be infected I would give it 4-5 days. If it is still there and not subsiding..time for the doc.

i had the samething happen on my first injection man i will tell you that was scarey because i had just shot somthing in my ass [sust 250] i got from someone i had never seen before and it hurt like hell after the shot, everything that i could of done wrong ran through my head but it turned out ok i got a little lump but it cleared up in a few days
