Question to those who are/was or has teenage boys...

One thing I would never trade for a million dollars is the fact that my son and daughter have open communication with me. they are not afraid of asking questions at all... right now, its not my daughter but more my son going thru puberty and just wondering what the hell is going on. I don't always have all the answers but I find them, we read and I buy books for him to read. Sometimes I'm like HOLY FUCK FUCK FUCK... I don't know whatto say,... but eventually I find the right words or article or book to explain to him.

Puberty is a very weird weird thing. I however am greatful that my kids trust me enough to come to me first and trust me to provide them with the answers that they request.

i have teenage boys.

look online at ccs clothing (i think its www.ccs.com, but i'm not sure) - its all skateboarding, cool clothes that they'll love- the hats, shoes, belts, etc.

I get them ipod covers, video games, ps2 games, ps2 covers. This year they both have quads, so i got them new helmets and goggles and gloves.

ksharp just a suggestion but if your boy is really into music maybe get him a nice pair of headphones? Especially if he still uses the cheapie little ones that come with the iPod.

The CCS clothing thing is also a great idea. I just got a pair of shoes from them, really awesome stuff. And if not that maybe some piece of memorabilia of his favorite musician/athlete...? I know I wouldnt mind that at all

That sounds like another winner.....I knew someone here would have to have some good ideas!

Much appreciated. He has been complaining about his earphones saying they suck! and even the memorabilia is good but maybe from his favorite football team or racecar driver.
Awesome ideas here........Thanks all!!!

I am getting to where I almost dread Christmas because I have no idea what to get my son that seems to have everything. I need some ideas please! I have bought him the games he wants for his ps2 (and no PS3 is out of the question) and I have gotten him a wicked rail for skateboarding. My only other idea is a cheesy gift card at local skate shop only because I wouldn't have a clue on what board, wheels and trunks (?) he would want. I am lost. He hasn't been much help either. That is a damn shame that kids have so much that they can't even tell you what they want!!! :worried:

Gift certificates are always great for men/boys. I love getting them especially if I get multiple ones to the same spot from different people so I can get bigger/better stuff, it's like one big gift from several people.

Cheers,
Scotsman

they LOVe CCS clothing- i give them the catalog and they just circle what they want- its the only time they're thrilled about clothing. also, earphones, speakers, and cool lights for their rooms (like lavalamps and stuff). My boys like 'being sexy' for the girls, so cologne, chapstick, and hairgel in their stockings.

also, cell phone covers (ebay- so cheap) and signs for their rooms.

They both love crazy boxers and funky pajama pants too.

I sometimes have a 3rd teenage boy living with me- he likes art so i give him art supplies, books about art, of art, and about artists.

Cash. $20.

Show him the value of money and don't just buy him stuff.

Or a hooker. I know of a few people in New Iberia.
