Quad Size Imbalance (pic), How to remedy?

A brief history: when I started HST I had no legs. None, zero. THey measured like 20 inches each. Now they're 22 and 22.5, and unfortunately quite imbalanced. I started with leg press as my main quad exercise when it should've been squats. The result is that my left leg outgrew my right one because I was pushing unevenly. Then, I tried to compensate for the right by favoring it, and it rebounded by growing differently from the left! Now the right is bigger and differently shaped. Any ideas?

only thing I can suggest is to start doing more single leg work.

ie bulgarin squats, step ups, reverse lunges etc
 
lol your leg structure looks soooo much like mine xpt my quads are more bulky. Almost like looking into mirror.

Just stick with squats and they should both grow at the same rate coz u need to push up with both legs evenly. You could do leg press with 1 leg if u wanted to so their can be huge favoritism.

you need to worry about size more than anything.

they will even out soon enough.

I disagree with coolcolj*. once you start performing single leg lifts you risk equality in the legs. in theory its a good idea...but you might slack off on one leg, or place it two inches in from of the other, sinker lower than the other leg etc etc.

focus on squats.....and maybe finish with single leg exercises.

As someone else said, put on mass before worrying about what is imbalanced. Once you put on mass, your physique will balance out. Here is a routine where I made incredible gains. You might want to consider it:

Squats - 5 sets of warmups, 3 x 5
Leg Presses - 1 x 12-15, then 1 x 8-10
Leg Extenstions - 1 x 12-15, then 8-10
Stiff Leg Deads - 1 x 10, then 1 x 7
Lying Leg Curls - 2 x 20
 
I think Louden may have used the proper word somewhere in his post.

It doesn't really matter unless you're planning on getting on stage soon.

Imbalance is normal and will get better with time and size.

Lol, well it took a few months but I finally saw the light and now have full squats as my main quad exercise. I'm just worried that if I don't address the problem now that as my legs get bigger the muscle imbalance will worsen.
