Carb Up Once A Week On Cuttin Routine?

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

6 days into cutting cycle and energy levels are suffering.
workouts arent intense and the weight is hurtin!
pumps are weak, and muscles are flat.

carbs at around 100g a day.
workout once a day followed by a 15-20 min cardio routine.
another cardio routine at night.

whats your thought on a carb up day on the 7th day?
i'm thinkin about 300-400g carbs to restore glycogen levels./.

another idea is 3 days low carbs, 1 day high carbs?

any feedback much appreciated.

I do the following:

MON-TUE-WED-FRI-SAT: Low carb, about 150gr

TH-SUN: High carbs, low fat. abut 350 gr. Use your big muscle groups (legs, back) on the day of the carb up, or the day after.

I am on a CKD and I carb-up on the 7th day. I usually gain a pound from the day but nothing serious. It helps my workouts that week as well. Not sure about pre-contest though.

Yeh, I'd think at 12 weeks out you can afford to be more lenient with the carbs...especially if you're feeling flat and tapped of energy. I dunno, I've seen so many guys get too extreme too quickly, and they suffer needlessy for it - their diets end up sacrificing more muscle than bodyfat.

Maybe around six weeks you can buckle down and get strict...since hopefully by that point you aren't trying to add new mass anyway - in which case you don't have to feel so bad if you aren't hoisting the iron around like an off-season madman.
