ANyone train in the evening (done around 6ish) slam a shake and then eat a meal aan hour later? What do you guys usually have for your meal if you plan on hitting the sack shortly thereafter....I've been chowing on 8oz of fish/meat and a ton of veggies, but it's bloating me.........wanna keep the carbs and fats realitively low......maybe some turkey chilli?

My PWO shake consists of 50 grams protein, 48 grams malto, and 48 grams dextrose. IMO, this should cover the carbs for awhile. Since you are going to go to bed thereafter, I would stay low carb, high protein. Personally, some good choices would be tuna, cottage cheese, cheese, etc. Good Luck.

I'm in the same boat...finish up 6ish

Normally I'll take 45g whey/75g dex

Meal about an hour later consists of a chicken breast/tuna and brocolli/brown rice

DO you slam a pretty big meal? I'm usually pretty hungrry an hour later.......how much do you eat? Want to stick with a meat/fish product (maybe eggs?), a nice big salad, and some steamed veggies........or maybe lose the veggies for something else.....hmmm....

I train around 7:30 and have my pw shake at 9 (50g carbs)
have my second PW meal an hour later and sleep at 11pm

works great for me, no fat gains whatsoever

no, unfortunately my shake fills me up well...I normally struggle to eat 1/2 cup brown rice after my shake with chicken breast

An omelet would be good-- with veggies and cheese. I try to at least get a galss of milk in before bed with a meal (if the meal is not a shake). I suppose with a shake only an hour earlier, you would want something else. Chicken breast with brocolli followed by a kiwi (enzymes for digestion) or some yogurt. You probably want to stay light-- I think digesting a steak or a large piece of ground beef before bed might keep you up. Did someone say tuna?
