OT: AS & Relationship - Sig Other Pissed

Which is more important, him or your goals and desire to do AS ?

It is your body and your right to do them, but it is also hist right to HATE the fact that you want to. You have to make a choice which is more important to YOU.

I would never take AS because my wife would FREAK if I even mentioned it, I know that and I would never ever risk my relationship, it is 100 times more important. That's my choice, you have to make yours.

Just as with anyone else who has certain pre-conceived ideas about steroids -- if their opinion matters to you, then educate them and then discuss it. Honestly, what sort of reasonable discussion can you have with someone who's understanding of "drugs" is "they took someone I cared about and I'm not going to let someone else make the same mistake". There is no discussion there.

If you are reasonably convinced that you want to do a certain AS and are educated on how to use it and what to expect, then give the SO that same pile of information that led you to that conclusion.

Often it just sounds just lame to be presented w/ this situation and the only solution is "if your SO doesnt' respect your decision to put a controlled substance in your body, then you need to dump them because they don't respect you". Two issues are at work - preconceived ideas about AS (e.g. as a recreational drug that kills) and also the perception that the person is not respecting your prerogative to make that choice as much as they are simply concerned about your health.

Since its already out in the open, its only fair to at least try to educate the guy so you can reasonably discuss it. If it ISN"T up for discussion by his choice, then I guess you are back to square one. And ultimately its your decision.

A MAN'S perspective..

Original Quote by Gladiola

First off, he doesn't really like muscular women so that doesnt help (I'm telling him I'm using it to help cut - even though that's not entirely true) - but the idea of me using illegal drugs has him livid.

Hey, real men like some muscle on women, however little boys are afraid of muscle in women :baby2: .. Just my thoughts!

I know how your boyfriend is thinking, because I used to think like that...
When my boyfriend of nine years talked about steroids for the first time we had been toghether for about two years. I freaked out and said that i didn't want any part of him if he was going to use AS. He didn't at that point, but now he has done a few cycles and I'm fine with it because I know now what it means to use AS and all the problems and consequenses that can/may happen. Actually I'm on my first cycle myself now and he's fine with that.

Before the only thing I knew and had heard about steroids was that everyone gets real aggressive and only uses d-bol. But the news only tell the ugly sides of using AS. About the guys that are taking too much d-bol, drinking heavy and beating up their girlfriends. So at first I didn't know that there was any positive things about AS until I EDUCATED myself. I'm not saying that your boyfriend will change his mind, especially considering he doesn't appreciate too much muscles, but making him read about it may get him to understand where your'e coming from. I don't know...

But it's all up to you...Good luck.

I understand his concerns too as i used to think that with ex-bf's and stuff, bc i was uneducated on the subject and was just acting out of fear and concern for their health etc...

Im with [email protected] him...if he and ur rel is important to u, work on it, dont just tell him ur gonna do it end of story, work with him to try and help him understand why and what it is exactly u r doing.

Good luck

On the other hand....

If your goals are not the same, and neither one of you wish to change your goals for the other, put a fork in it and call it 'done.' Although Mrs. BE and I don't agree on methods always, we agree on the objective and goals. You desire more musculature, he doesn't want that on you. Houston, we have a problem! You can push him, and perhaps get him to agree to tolerate the AAS. But, you can't change that deep seated desire of a less muscular woman.

Is he perhaps concerned that you may improve yourself and become attractive to someone better than he considers himself? Or at least someone that shares the same goals as you?
If he isn't committed to *you* and you likewise committed to him, you are both just occupying each others life until the 'right one' comes along.

If the relationship worsens as a result of you achieving your goals, you could find youself with major problems. There are a number of guys that have had exgirlfriends either flush their stash of AS, or call the cops on them! If you don't think a guy would do that, wound our ego and watch how we react. You would swear we had gone back to elementary school right before your eyes. Don't expose your activities to him unless he is committed to you, and don't make him an unwilling accessory to your activites either. Mrs. BE may know I do some things, but she doesn't have to be aware of ANY details like when or where, and we have been married for 21 years!

I wish you well on your choices and I hope he will commit to you more than he has already.

Bottom line it is your body...your life..you have to do what makes you happy!!! This guy may not even be around in 2-3 yrs...Personally I would just have never said anything but he probably would have figured it out sooner or later...all you can do is explain to him why you are doing it and this is not a drug you take to get high...and end up being so fucked up you cant even function and hold down your job...you are simply enhancing YOUR body and trying to be the best you can be.....this is totally different then being a drug absuer on crack etc...

If he doesn't understand...tough shit..it is WHO you are..do not change for other people...99.9% of the time they will not change for you! Either he accepts you or he doesn't it is plain and simple as that. Don't even get me started on this soap box...cant stand a guy that is like that..he has his right to his opinion but so do you!!! Do not forget that...does your guy workout?? I think a lot of it is insecurity and jealousy...men that do not like muscles??? Cmon....I doubt you are as big as vicki gates so you are not carrying huge amounts of muscle...tell him to go find kate moss...oh wait have of those models do drugs too...hmmmmmmmm tough decision!
