When making oatsmeal or brown rice, we all know that if you scoop a cup (dry) oats and add water it makes more then one cup of oats alot more...so when your dieting and consuming a cup of oats is that a cup of dry or cooked? Im lost on this...i always make a cup but notice that it could almost be like eating 2 cups...is the nutritional value the same. Meaning that are we looking at the same cals in dry and cooked...how about rice? I can get 2 cups of brown rice out of a cup of dry rice..so am i looking that the cals in brown rice (even though i have 2 cups) the same as the one cup of dry i made initially?
