Good luck Biteme ! Been there done that, then the bitch quit her job and got pregnant from her bf. Fuckin courts wouldn't lock her ass up cuz she was pregnant. It took about 8 yrs but, I finally got the back support from her tax refunds.

Damn. I didnt bother with all the back child support. Seemed like too much hassle and I know my ex has nothing to give me. I'm lucky to be getting the current child support of $200 a week. I just wanted to focus on the future and not dwell on the past.

First you sue, then the respondant has 20 days to respond or the petition becomes law. Once a child reaches a certain age, they can determine where they want to live barring that the parent is not an abusive parent. So, yes you are correct, a decision must be rendered. But, at this point, it's just going thru the motions. If you knew the history of behavior of the step parent and that the child has been living with me for the past 4 months, you'd know it's a slam dunk case.

It depends - the prime directive in family court is "Best interest of the child." History has evidenced that there does tend to be a leaning toward the mother, but it is not a per se rule. As stated earlier, depending on the age of the child, what the child wants can be a large factor in determining custody.

I'm about to explode from anger. I had to go to downtown Dallas today and file the paperwork. Without going into, some dumbasses fucked up and I was there over 2 hours and then I got a fucking parking ticket. I need to smash something. She'll get served but and a temporary hearing was set but they set it too early, so now I'll have to go back in to that damn downtown traffic and reset the date. I haven't been this angry in a long,long, time. I'll be glad when this shit is over. And we will win. It's just a matter of going through the process. My ex got wind of it because my daughter told her I was at the courthouse. My ex told my daughter that she will not buy her a nice car, clothes, or pay for her car insurance if she has to pay child support. She told my daughter that I'd buy her a junkie car. Can you believe that bitch? She's having a meltdown. Oh and she told my daughter that I'd spend the money on myself for health club dues and such.
