Most Dangerous Form of Martial Arts?

[i mean the form that you would run away from this guy if you knew he knew this stuff... [/B]

Bro, the only kind of guy who is going to run away from you is a pussy... so it doesn't really matter whether or not you've even studied a martial art. I lived for about 6 years in a place in the 'hood called Ghost Town. It got it's name because we had 24 killings in a 4 block area during just 2 months at the hight of a gang war betwen the Shorline Crips and the V 13... and believe me when I say I know several skinny little 12 year olds would pull out a pocket knife and whittle on you rather than run.

I wasted a lot of time in my youth studying worthless martial arts. I say worthless because their was a lot of flowery art and very little practical application. For the real world boxing, kick boxing, jujitsu, krav maga and kajukenbo are pretty much the only practical martial arts I know of.

no shit!!! I took TKD for a while and I got totally frustrated. Who gives a crap if you can do a spinning high dragon kick or someshit. And doing those routines sucked ass also.

just go down to local dojo's and take a look. there isnt one art tats superior t another this has been debated extensivly on the martial arts forum here, and most agree its not the art but the fighter himself

does the instructor look like he knows his stuff? is he only gonna teach u things traditionally or is he willing to mclude more modern practical things (one style of karate i know of doesnt allow hooking punches.....wtf?!?). do the principles of the art allow its application in everyday fighting. for insance if your in jeans can you jump 5ft and do a tornado kick? if someone attacks you with a hammer does your style only have a block which will end up with you trying to oppose a steel object with bone (and therefire break your arm) or will it incorporate other principles (diverting the force away rather than opposing it)

just go down and choose. thought to be honest if you;ve never got in a figth before there;s no reason why you shouldf anyway. i've decided to try and learn from a MMA type instructor just to add to my overall knowledge

Same here. I totally agree with that statement. I agree with Bruce on the real JKD, where you take whatever works and apply it to a real fight. 90% of that crap is useless and too many people buy into and spread the myths. My favorite is when you run into someone who's hands are registered lethal weapons...........hahahaha.

Icer..Look up "Kajukenbo".."The dirty art of streetfighting" I am taking it and like it alot.

Ka...Karate
Ju...Judo..Jui Jitzu
Ken...Kempo
Bo...Kung fu..Chinese Boxing

All used in mind with street fighting self defense.

Muay Thai + graplling will do the trick.

If you train these all you learn is to inflict the most damage possible using your body (short of skulling and kicking in the nuts)
