I'm currently doing HST but am thinking of adding other things with it or switching up the style.
I used to do a M/W/F split. Pressing on monday, pulling on wednesday and legs on friday. Destroy each muscle group each time.
I was thinking of something similar. How would this work:
Mon: Pressing
Tues: Pulling
wed: legs
thurs: off
Friday: HST style upper body but no legs
Sat: off
Sun: off
My thinking behind this is that I go balls to the wall(maybe not quite power lifter intensity) on mon-wed. Then I would leave out legs on the friday work out. Because if I hammer my legs they need alot more time to recover. Besides they are huge already anyways so its not one of my major concerns. Then on friday, the upper body will have had three and two days off respectivley. Friday would be a "light" day so to speak. HST style. More in the 12-15 rep range.
I should add that 500mg of sust and 2-300 mg deca wk is involved here too.
