this sux!!!ive incorporated the 12 hour carb up (taken from mr x's manual) into my diet of high protein, low fat, and low carbs....and all that it has done for me is push me 13 pds more than i was before on the scale. Last tuesday (after my first carb up) i was up ten pds...mrx told me to not worry about it and that it was just water weight and that i would drop it within the week. Well i didnt! This past Sunday i took my second crack at the carb up... and i went up another 3 pds more (on top of the last ten) man this is pissin me off. I started doin the carb up bcus i heard it would help with my stalled fat loss, but all it has done is made me gain weight on the scale as well as retain water. Can anyone help me out with this dilemma....im really confused brother

Why don't you just find some cardio workout you like, eat normally and train in the weight room instead of torturing yourself with some diet?

There is a very simple solution to your problem:

You retained all the water from the carb-up, than during your Ketosis week, you had high-sodium and, in turn, you kept the water. (the water can help training by the way) Sometimes people don't drop water on CKD due to their diet, hence high-sodium.

What does your meal plan look like?

well i eat stuff like whole eggs, steak, tuna with mayo...stuff like that as well as crystal light and water. thats about it.

The sodium is probably the problem, yet you might have to wait until your body adjusts to acidosis and hightens the PH levels to normal. This might be the cause of water retension too.

then do i keep on having the carb up day...or is it just hurting me in the long run????are they just making me gain weight???wat do u think??

I don't think you are clear with the point I am trying to get across. The weight you are gaining is NOT fat, it's WATER. You need the carb-up to have proper leptin level. Just keep sodium low during the week, stay on the diet, and give it some time, for your body will adjust and you'll drop the water sooner or later. For now, I would recommend just sticking to the 6/1 plan I outlined in my CKD manual and you'll be fine.
