If a person has a naturally low testestorone count, he will obviously make very slight change in body composition (body fat reduction and muscle mass). However, does anyone know if its possible to gain strength on low testesotone count? Obviously some of it will be CNS gains, but if a person goes from lets say 150 to 235 bench, 95 to 225 lb squat and 140 to 240 lat pulldown.. in one year, then obviously there is some muscle increase.. CNS can't be responsible for these gains alone... or can it?

I have low test, and will hopefully get on HRT once I get insurance again. I am making strength gains, albeit not as fast as I'd like.

You can make gains but it will be nothing like what you would
make with a normal test level. Go for the HRT. It will make a
big difference in your life - lifting, sex, mental well-being, overall
fitness, etc.

Okay, I have no clue what my natural testosterone count is, but this HRT thing sounds interesting. I have done a search, and still can't figure out what it is. So, could someone tell me what it is and how it works. Thanks.

Test count is overrated, I know someone who is 360 lbs at 6'2" , and he has normal Test count of a 31 year old, is a lifetime natural trainer and it seems he is able to maintain that amount of muscle mass quite easily without drugs or test boosting.

CoolColJ, I mean no disrespect to you. I think by the tone of
your posts here and on supertraining that you are a younger
man. I do not think that you know what it is like to wake up
with joint pain every day, be unable to have satisfying sexual
relations, be depressed, have overall muscle weakness, etc.
I think this is the case with you but I may be wrong. I have
gone through all of these things and HRT fixed it. I feel
fortunate to be able to benefit from science with respect to
my advancing years.

By the way, I wish I had a test count of a normal 31 year old.

Bearrito, HRT is hormone replacement therapy. Your doctor
can order a blood test to check total and free testosterone.
It either of the tests fall below or at the bottom of the normal
range for your age, you may be eligible for test replacement
by prescription.

Revexrevex, if you are making good gains and are free from
problems related to aging, do not mess with the HRT. My advice
is to wait until you need it.

low test?

What are some signs of having low test without having to go to a doctor and get tested? I am only 18 and i get joint pains and back pains. A few years ago i was fine, i injured my back a few times and now i have back pains, and when i use my arms a lot in a physical activity(not lifting) i get bad elbow pains.
