Lost 10 pnds in 4 weeks

I was 6'0 220 pnds, now im 210 after 4 weeks of working out (with no cardio) 5x a week. I ate basicly the same thing every day except saturday throughout this 4 week period. Every morning I would eat 1 egg scrambled with swiss cheese on a roll w/ a whey shake (40g ptn) Lunch = small portion of pasta w/ a peperoni slice and diet soda, Later on after the gym i would have one Ptn shake with 5gm glutamine, I know that sounds like a shitty diet, BUT IT WORKED. the kicker is that lunch was really my last solid meal, I go to sleep very early at night and have breakfast at 7am, So other than the protein shake at about 8pm, I was fasting from 1pm to 7am the next day, i subbed dinner with a protien/glutamine shake. I would wake up hungry as hell but breakfast was gooood. and I havent noticed any muscle loss, Friends told me this diet woule be very catabolic, But I've actualy noticed some gains, and have gotten a few comments from ppl that I look toner.

Not suggesting this to anyone, just wanted to flap my mouth off about it.

First this is good news and great to hear. But when you say this worked, perhaps it may be too early to make the claim.

For one thing, It is possible that some of your weight loss could be water. But lets say that it isn't. And lets say you continue on with your goal of losing another 10 pounds without losing muscle or water and you do it. And then lets say 6 months afterwards you remain at that new weight of 20 pounds lost. I think at that point you could then say say it worked.

On the other hand, shoudl you regain regain the weight, especially in a very short amount of time, then you may not be able to say that it worked.

My point is so many have lost weight only to put it back on so quickly after resuming normal eating habits. So keep us posted and hopefully you will have discovered something that works for you indeed. Good Luck.

It cant be waterm that im sure of. I know my body, and as far as putting it back on ..FUCK NAH, I'm 22 yrs old and tired of being out of shape, I wanna have a few good yrs of lookin tight while im still young.

Don't mean to bring you down man, but no one loses 10lbs of fat in four weeks. Much of that was water and likely some muscle.

The diet you describe is one that will drop weight quickly and, yes, you will look more toned after a few weeks on it. But it's a classic lose-weight-quick, put-it-back-on-quicker diet. I don't see how you or anyone else could stick to it. Plus, even if you could, your gains (or losses) would decrease in time. Meaning you would not be losing 10lbs every 4 weeks indefinitely.

Best way to lose weight/fat and gain muscle is basically to eat a higher protein, lower carb/fat diet and get your ass to the gym. There are a million variations, but most are based on that simple idea.

I hear what your saying gymtime, Your post doesnt bring me down trust me, I also see where your coming from with the "gain it right back" theory. I dont plan on staying with this diet Indefinitely, Just to get somewhat close to my ideal weight and work from there with a clean diet and workout. regardless if its water or fat, I'm 10 pnds lighter and look and feel alot better, I've been hitting the gym HARD and taking in close to my body weight in protien daily so I'm sure its not muscle. Saturdays I eat whatever the fuck comes my way, I know this resembles a CKD diet in no such way, But if you can supposedly keep lean muscle while on CKD then why not they way I have been dieting?

The max fat loss you should be aiming for should be 2lbs per week. The initial week a lot will be water. So 8lbs of fat is the max you could burn without losing muscle. Plus the water, it is realistic. WHy not?

Perhaps he lost muscle, but he is the judge of that.
I doubt it.

Well, any claroie deficit will result in weight loss and the more fat you have to lose, the easier it is--AT FIRST.

Your body will get used to this, you'll plateau, and you'll wish you'd followed a real eating plan, but hey! whatever.

Get your BF% checked.
