Suriadventures, that amount of sleep MAY not be good for you, it's good for me only because of my disease; before this, if I slept over, like 9-10 hours, I too felt lethargic. Now it helps me, as my pain and body limitations are getting worse. However, if you have to stay up a day and a half, let's say, there's probably no problem sleeping 11 hours or so. I still try to walk and use power bands if I can!
 
Is there any thing like over sleeping with regards to recovery ?

What if I sleep for 11-12 hours a day,will it enhance my recovery ?

over sleeping isn't healthy. you aren't burning calories and its too lazy of a lifestyle.. unless you have a special circumstance as the previous poster, where a medical issue forces you to sleep that much.. then you should be getting 7-9 hours.. that is the sweet spot for weight lifters and athletes
