I got big calces for some reason. Genetics I guess. Big calves and a small chest and back...HORAY FOR HICk :rolleyes: God was fuckin with me.

They felt aqward and did nothing for a pump. and would leave my wrest and elbows with like a popping twitching feeling. After awhile my arms got used to them and havent had them again. But that is common. But you are the only one other then myself to talk about the splints in forarms when doing curls. For a long while I felt that when i was doing barbell curls that my forarms where going to break. Like i though i might have had a small fracture or something. It did feel much like a chin splint. Havent had it a lot lately...kinda just stopped but i had it for about 3 months. Such a wierd place for a fracture though. I am interested about it as well. I figured though thats what it was because it hasnt came back and feels like it "healed". No one knew what i was talkin about either.
What kind of bar do you use? When I use a straight bar, I'd get wicked forearm pain, but when I switched to a kambered bar (like for skull crushers), it eased off quite a bit.
 
I rocked today, check out the leg press and hack squats, I could of actually done more, I couldn't believe it, last week I could hardly get through it and this week, I don't know!

getting bf tested on the 11th and on the 12th a whole new program, she thinks I am ready! :) Now going to bed, stupid head cold!

I use barebells for jsut about everyting..including skull crushers now. I dont get any pain anymore. Once in awhile Ill throw the sissy bar in just to mix things up. I had a great Bi workout today. Gym is crazy busy do to the powerhouse in the next town closing they all flooded into mine until there memberships run out. Fuckin sucks wating for machines or a bench/seat. Got in about 6 reps un assisted with good form of barbell curls.
105X6-admit last 2 were a litlle bit of a swing. Felt great. Diet on key as well. Pump was fantastic. Its great to make a weakpoint a strongpoint. Now only if i can do that with my back.
 
had a shitty squat workout today... :(

first few sets felt fine, but then my 4th and 5th felt heavy as hell...

i got the last set of 270x5, but my depth wasn't what it was justa few days ago when i did my triple with 270...

i did complete my 230x5 on the bench, and the 185x5 on the bent over rows...

just felt weak while squatting... maybe my mind wasn't in it, or i just had a bad day...

we'll see what happens Saturday when i go for 275x3...
 
I got the same problem with squats last week. Warm ups felt good. bumped up to 215. Felt fine. Went to 260 and it felt like 315 then I thought i just need to go to nuts and do 315. I did....weak and couldnt go low. talk about frusterating. With squats I always wanna feel the pump and the work. I just didnt.
 
i think part of my problem has been my slacking on the diet...

and the other was i got a nasty carboard cut on my index finger at work last night, and i kept thinking about it, cause the fucker was stinging like hell...

hope it heals up before my deads on Thursday... :(
 
common man....gotta fight threw paper cuts. :) use that pain to transfer into anget to lift. Bring the straps and use all other fingers but the fucked up one
 
i don't own straps, and now see them as the devil... ;)

if i nail my Saturday triple of 275, i'll just chalk today up to lazy, tired, or a combo of the 2...
 
DZLS: nice bench and row work!! Eh, your head prolly wasn't into the squats... get psyched up, pop an ammonia cap :evil: (never tried it... looks hardcore though, lol)

Do your forearms ever get roasted (burnt out, so pumped you can't grip a 10lb dumbell) and you can't complete a last heavy set of shrugs, deads... ect?

They come in clutch for me sometimes... not crutch, clutch :)

Straps can be your friend, you just gotta believe!
