jackedmom 18 weeks out & counting pics

New member
I've decided to do a figure comp in August. Current stats are 5'8" at 154.5 lbs at 23% bf. Goal is to come in close to 130. I'm 18 weeks out now. I'll post new pics in the album every other week. Took about a year off from training and dieting. Just started training again in January---haven't been dieting at all. Gettin' plenty of protein but waaaay too many carbs and fats. Been gradually cleaning up (except for the late night carb munchies...) for the last couple of weeks. Tomorrow I begin the calorie/macronutrient breakdown: gonna eat roughly between 1400 and 1500 calories per day. Doing the 50/30/20 route.

Wish me luck!

Does that also count for the man/men in your life???? :p

Jackedmom - nice pics! Can't wait to see your progress........

Thanks, Sassy. I'm worried bout the old bottom half for the comp though. Can't see it in those pics, but my ass is where I carry all my fat. It's always the last to go. I need to keep all the muscle I've got and drop that ass fat! hehehe. My teenage son took those pics and I didn't want to ask him to take a picture of my ass so I just took one of my lower half in the mirror. :)

I'll get my old man to take some of my back half and post them up on that album tomorrow. Not sure if I can get that glute ham tie-in tight in time. We'll see where I am at in a few weeks. I can always do a later show if things don't progress well. I'm 100% certain I can get the fat off, I'm actually more concerned with the skin there being loose. That requires a little more time. <Keeping fingers crossed 18 weeks is enough>

Thanks again for the support.

I"ve got the same challenge. What I'm doing all along to help deal w/ this (I'm 7 weeks out right now):

1) All my training days start out w/ this warmup:
- up a set of stairs - up 2 at a time, stepping flat footed on each step, then back down 1 at a time - 10 x. Its like doing a bunch of stepups. I started w/ no weight, but now I'm up to carrying 20 lb dumbbells.
- "Genies" - these are like squats w/ no bar, ass to the floor, going fairly fast (not a squat drop & hold for the muscle building). Currently doing these holding a 10 lb weight 8 sets of 8.
- walking lunges across a room & back (about 15 steps per side) x 4, holding 10 lb dumbbells & hi-stepping on each lunge.

3) I put on Yohimburn & Preperation H on my waist, butt, thighs, wrap it all in a neoprene waist wrap and train, do cardio & sleep in it. The yohimburn does some topical fat burning, the prep H tightens the skin as I'm losing bodyfat so I don't get the saggage.

I'm hitting legs at least twice a week. One leg day is heavy quad work with less emphasis on the hams, glutes, etc. The next leg day is the opposite.

For cardio, I am opting for stair climbing, treadmill with heavy incline, etc. I need to shed some more fat so I can tell whether or not it's working... hard to tell at such a high bf %.

damn estrogen. :)

Just read the part about the prep H. Hmm, wonder if that is similar to the effect of the cutting gels on the market? Sounds like it. I've heard of the yohimburn...gets rid of the water too, right?

You're hardcore with that neoprene wrap...hehehehe. I have a hard time training with sweats on...I sweat like a pig doing cardio. :D I'd probably pass out.

I bet you meet and exceed your goal, sassy. With your additional leg warm-up, no self-respecting ounce of fat is gonna put up with that torture!

I'm feeling the work on my legs -- my ass & legs are rock hard but I need to still lose the bodyfat. I'll be honest on the prep H & wrapping -- I've heard it from every trainer I've ever worked with. If you are losing bodyfat you still need to have your skin tight.

Yes, it makes sense. I've heard of girls doing cellophane wrap to quickly lose water for photo shoots. They just wrap the saran wrap around those spots and put on a jogging suit and go...hour or two later, a couple sizes smaller. Mind you it's temporary but I am sure it does the trick for the shoot. The prep H would work for tightening up the skin...I also heard to use some sort of skin firming cream during the whole time you are dieting/cutting. Put it on right after showering to keep the skin moisturized. No tanning till the last possible time frame. Guess to keep the skin's elasticity. Tanning continuously is not good in the long run for the skin. Tanning yields that immediate skin tightening effect...long term you look like a catcher's mitt. LOL

Your pic's look great! I am anxiously awaiting my Yohimburn (should be here the 30th), and am going to try the Prep H as well. Sassy is hard core to work out in that stuff. I am going to TRY it at home. I always end up taking my shirt off cuz I sweat like a pig. Good luck w/ everything! If I knew how to post pics I would. DUH.

16 weeks out pics

I can't wait to shed the leg fat!!!!! Ugh. Otherwise, seems like I'm on track. Abs are tightening up even after two weeks and there appears to be a little less fat between the delts and bis.

You all should see the gym where I train. EVERY ONE of my trainer's clients is walking around w/ the neoprene waist wrap & prep H. I just introduced the trainer to Yohimburn & he loves it. I soon expect to also SMELL everyone walking around in their waist wraps + YES...!

No doubt, I'll have to buy stock in that stuff.... Before that though, I have to continue to stick to my diet and train legs like crazy....so self-respecting ounce of fat will want to stick around.. ;)

Looking really good!! Good luck with your comp but at the rate you are going I dont think your going to need it... your going to leave them all in the dust!!

Niiiiice "V" girl! 15 weeks is a lot of time to make huge changes -- just keep plugging away and you will be showing off those tie-ins.

I never thought I'd be doing this much cardio either. But I started at 2 20 min sessions every day. I've got a Precor at home, so it is actually doable because my gym is such that it would take me an extra hour / day just to get there & get to work. My trainer originally recommended 2 sessions at a slow but steady pace. I did this for a while, but I just think HIIT works better for me. I usually do 20-30 min of warm-up & HIIT and then the remaining time at a steady pace in the AM. My night work after training is usually 30 min on the stairmaster & 20+ on the treadmill at a steady pace.

But the secret has really been starting low and building up because it is all about conditioning.

you got that right. A couple years back, I was cutting and worked my way up to an hour for each session. (Steady clip). Now, I'd keel over but I'm working on it. I don't do much cardio in the "off season" so to speak so, I've got to get the old ticker used to the routine. :p

The thing that bothers me so much about cardio is I literally can feel my muscles getting burned up in my top half...I feel so catablic. ugh.

you are doing GREAT!!! you abs are popping BIG TIME... one suggestion start tanning!! you want to get your tan very gradual because if you burn you will hold water... WHICH IS BAD I am sure you already know that...

oh, yes...burning is not good. I will definitely do the gradual thing...good sound advice. I'll actually start in the bed around 4-5 weeks out--only 10 minutes or so at first.

I was feeling a little sick of cardio and Sassy motivated me with her loose size 4s!!!! (That's so cool). I decided to look hard for any improvements over the last three weeks that will keep me going on that damn treadmill. I think I look tighter...even though there hasn't been any real weight loss. (I like the mirror test best anyway!) I was hoping maybe this pic could help someone get motivated as well Three weeks not bad difference.

HEY JACKEDMOM YOU LOOK DAMN GOOD! Dont let anyone kid you.. how old are you??
you back looks fabulous... !! KEEP GOING BABY AND SOON I WILL POST ME SOON
YOUR MID SECTION LOOKS A HELL OF LOT BETTER THAN MINE.. everyone devleops different.. my legs are good ---------butt and abs are my weakness

GO GIRL !!

Thanks, there, IAM...yup, we're slaves to genetics for sure...My butt and legs leave ALOT to be desired. Working on it, though. Getting on the treadmill here in a sec. Bleck...Stats are: age 37, weight 150, 5'8. Not sure about bf...gotta get it tested again on Saturday. :p

Okay, I'm not really good at updating but here goes. I started out in end of March with 23% bf. Been dieting and getting it testing monthly. Today I was 13.9% by the bioelectrical impedence thing. Calipers showed 14% using a bazillion sites. <I think the guy who does it just likes to pinch me, LOL> Been kicking around what show to do. I would like to do one July 16th provided I can get the the fat around the uppper thigh--glute ham tie-in area to go. These pics suck as I am Larry Bird white and the camera I have uses a flash every time. I took a close up inside so you could see that I am pretty lean although the pics outside don't show it. I'm very vascular, too. Those are veins in the abs sticking out and it was a low carb day to boot! Legs are leaning out. Got some intermuscular fat still sitting in the quads but flexing tight, there is a little bit of separation poking thru...finally.

I need to be much lower in order to get on stage. I bought Yohimburn yesterday and voila I got the ups shipping info by email today...what service! (I can't wait..) I also added an eca stack today...we'll see how that goes. Would love to add clen. I'm a natty (for now) and scared of friggin' taking anything so...we'll see if I can muster up the nerve!

Here's my question. Sassy told me about the prep H thing. Do you do that on the same day as the Yohimburn ES? Mix 'em together or should I just stick to the Yohimburn for now. Skin is pretty tight so far. I never tan, in case you didn't notice. :p

so far so good. Hard to tell with the Yohimburn as right now I'm feeling pretty flat except for the fat on my butt and legs....gotta keep pumping away. I love the smell and if nothing else, mentally it's helping...LOL...I've kicked the cardio up a notch and am really focusing hard on that area...the tingling helps that as well. :)

I didn't get pics taken last week so I'm missing a week in there but this weekend I'll update. Hopefully, you all will see a more dramatic difference.

ps...thanks for checking in on me. :)
