Firstly, my personal trainer said that you can only add 5-7lbs of pure muscle CELLs to your body in a year/make the muscles larger by only 5-7lbs. He said that the rest of the weight is water/a little bit of glycogen.
Does the water he refer to mean sarcoplasmic fluid? Also, if you add 0.5-1lb a week then that means you get 26-52lbs lean mass gain-would that mean all of the other weight is water- 1:10 ratio of muscle to water? I assume if you add over 1.5lbs/go for 2lbs a week it's fat you add on as well.
