If I can't do morning cardio.....

I know there is a second best option where you can wait in the evenings till your carbs are depleted. Is this a) 3-4 hours after your last carbs meal or b) 3-4 hours after any meal?

Can someone clarify? Hopefully I can get on a schedule where I can do morning HIIT and evening steady-state cardio soon. For evening steady-state cardio, does the same carb depletion rule as above apply again?

I think you can do cardio anytime, just do it. I can't do it most of the time in the morning, but I do it at lunch time. I usually do it after an hr of having a protein drink. I think as long as you do it, you'll still come out ahead.

If you can't do it in the morning, then do it after you weight train.

And why do you want to be doing cardio twice a day? Are you close to a competition?

Nah, just trying to drop body fat...I saw Daisy's clean diet program and saw that she did cardio twice a day to get her awesome results, so I wanted to try that out.

Some mornings, I just have nothing in me. Even if I get up and get on the treadmill, I cannot do my sprints for HIIT. Not sure what that is about....

Please ask her why she did that before following it!!!! Do not just follow someone blindly without knowing their reasoning behind it!

Cardio twice a day for someone who isn't competing is quite alot and not necessary to get bodyfat down. Diet is the key to reducing bodyfat, cardio is secondary!

Already addressed in a PM, but I will restate here. :)

I do NOT recommend anyone do cardio 2x a day for normal weight loss goals. I beleive, but will have to check, that my transformation thread states that I don't think it is a good idea for most people.

The MAIN reason I did cardio 2x a day is because I KNOW my body. I hold onto muscle (and fat) very easily. I do NOT lose muscle easily - even with excess cardio and in a calorically deprived state. My body just holds onto everything easily - and doesn't give it up. Blessing and a curse, I imagine.

Cardio 2x a day will not get most people closer to their fat loss goals. If anything, it can lead to overtraining and muscle loss. Work on the intensity of your workouts before adding more and more time.

That said, I do think if you do 3x HIIT and 1-2x steady state first AM cardio - that will help.

If you have the discipline to do cardio 2x a day, you can get up early and do cardio. Reaching goals is about sacrifice and pushing yourself. Plain and simple. You MUST make yourself get up early can workout. You MUST make yourself push through teh tiredness, the fatigue. Do the AM cardio. It will make a huge difference. Apparently, Cardio Breeze works well for this too. Maybe you should check it out.

Thanks, Daisy!! Will start off with 3X HIIT and 1-2X steady state and see where that takes me. As you say, I can't do everything initially because where will I go from there?! Took T-Rex this morning and it worked well. Will get Cardio Breeze soon as soon as I finish the T-Rex up.

To those of you who take Cardio Breeze, how long before doing HIIT do you recommend taking it? I need to wait at least 1-2 hrs with T-Rex to feel "energized" generally.

Definitely try the Cardio Breeze -- I'm a slug in the morning & it really helps!! I take it about 1/2 hour before doing cardio. Today, I think I took it about 45 mins b4-hand & I was still good to go.
