Maybe you should call a friend or family member to talk through this....

I think we have all had times in our lives where it all just seemed a LITTLE bit more than we can handle.......

Just take a deep breath and gather your strength girl.

Are you seeing a dermatologist or just using over the counter stuff??? If you are seriously considering suicide please get yourself to your family doc or the nearest counseling center immediately!!!!!!!

It's not worth suicide! But I DO know how bad this can make you feel. Acne is painful both physically and psychologically. Fellow acne sufferer here and I'm 38. Never got a zit until my 20's, then BAM! serious big painful cyst zits.

See a dermatologist - it can save you a lot of agony, time, and $$$ in the long run. I've had an ongoing struggle with acne, but by regularly visiting the derm, they've kept it under control to minimize breakouts and scarring. I don't look like an acne sufferer, but I am.

Even though I would rather NOT have acne, I think it taught me a lot about good skin care that's helped my skin stay young-looking (and the excess oil helped too I guess). You don't need to suffer with this!

Do you have health ins.? Go to a dermatologist. I had a bad battle after one cycle. I MEAN BAD!! I wore a turtleneck all the was up to my chin b/c my neck was really bad. Didn't cover anything, but made me feel better.

Go to the derm. and get some ACCUTANE. It will probably start off at 40mg/day. It is expensive, but generally covered under prescription plan. I took that for 4mos at 40 ED. Everything will dry up. Your lips, eyes, anything that secretes fluid;) But, deal with it. In the long run, all that dangerous oil will be sucked completely dry.

Afterwards, he/she might drop it to 20mg/dayfor the last month. Also, at that time they'll try a mild acid wash. I had that done twice and it wasn't strong enough. Then, I had the real acid peel. WOW! It is something else. In the long run, it takes a bit to heal, your face is going to look magnificent!!

Stick with it. There is a solution.

Regina1979,

I SERIOUSLY know how you feel hon... went through this battle when I was a teenager! I know how awful it feels.. and even hurt to lay my head on a pillow at night. I went to a dermatalogist and tried antiobiotics first.. but nothing helped until I took ACCUTANE. Took if for 6 months, and have never had acne as bad since. That was 10 years ago... I still break out now, but now I break out like normal people. Some people have to go through two cycles of it, but mine was dramatically decreased after the first cycle.

There is a solution, sweetie, so don't get too discouraged.. get accutane.. nothing else worked for me. hopefully you have insurance to cover it, as it is pricey.

Good luck, let us know how it goes :)

If it has you this upset - YES -> Talk to someone! Don't let these feelings squash you under their weight. Since you mentioned you're a student, go to the school counseling center - you may be pleasantly surprised at how nice & understanding they are.

In the mean time:

MAKEUP!

A decent coverup & foundation should really help. I like clinique foundation & cover-up. Anything will do though. I also feel better when I do up my eyes & lips - as if they're taking away/ distracting from any zits on the rest of my face. That helps my confidence.

BMOM! Whrere's BMOM!

Sounds like you have a very serious case of acne. I've had only a mild case of adult acne but I TOTALLY understand how it makes you feel. But PLEASE believe me when I say this that NOTHING is worth killing yourself over. You need to 1) See a dermatologist and more than likely get on Accutane and 2) See a therapist to work on your inside.

Do a search on acne at www.google.com It will come up with some sites that offer chat for young folks like you going through the same pains.

Listen to your elders...your pain is real, I am not questioning that but taking your life for this condition is NOT worth it.
