i dunno bout cardio and no carbs

hey i really want abs and this is my diet ....i have only oatmeal in the morning(plain) then troughout the day i have veggies and chicken or tuna....after my workout i have whey with sum dextrose and half cup of skim milk//////....i do sprints 1st thing in the morning (20min or 30)on an empty stomach and is wondering if i can loose muscle by doin this cardio and diet (3 x a week cardio) i lift weights and want abs...it never comes//! what should i do ...i incorprate natural penut butter and walnuts for my fat ,,,i do not exceed 40 grams of fat daily//im 120lbs
any help!~
 
fat should come from fatty fish eg salmon, flaxseed oil and natural foods - eggs, chicken etc

about taking in fat as healthy fats make you burn
fat especially since your doing a l
low carb
diet.
it seems like your trying to rush things!
and you need to be patient with it.
your only 120 lbs so your probably good looking
anyhow just be happy with what you have
so far and the rest will fall into place if you keep
it up!
 
what exactly does your diet look like. How many cals. It looks like you could be too low, and that could cause muscle loss and fat gain. Also the womens board could help out as well.
 
My opinion is that you may in fact be going catabolic with the lack of carbs, forcing your body to not only use exogenous protein and stored bodyfat for energy but also muscle tissue.
Your choice of fats are not so bad. However think about it 40grams of fat in a 1500 calorie /day diet =360 calories which translates roughly to 25% of your daily caloric intake.
This is way too high in my opinion. Don't forgo the carbs as much and drop your fat and see what happens.
 
hey i weight 126 and consume around 1300 calories a day...30 grams comming from fat (healthy) 140grams of protein and 50 grams of carbs..is that good? and i do cardio on an empty stomach--mostly 15-25 min of sprints? is that catabolic? should i take whey before my cardio to preserve muscle?? thanks
 
I know that sprints will tax the hell out of the cardiovascular system, however, the fuel used for them is sugar NOT fat. Longer sustained exercise will tell the body a more efficient fuel (fat, more cals/gram) needs to be used.
The minute the body gets calories it begins with an insulin response to rush those cals into the cells where they are needed. When the body percieves it has all it needs, it will not turn to an alternate source e.g. fat for energy.
I wouldn't use anything before a cardio workout.
 
hey anyone believ ein tummy tucks? are they worth it and do they work?? i trieds every damn diet n cardio shit n nuthing works ..can someone help me out? i think tummy tuck is the way to gOOO?? tru or no?
