Hungry Man Dinner, 690Cals/49gProtein/48gCarbs..Ok to eat while Bulking?

Hey guys, i was shopping yesterday at my local stop and shop, and i was in the freezer isle. So im walkin and see Hungry Man 1lb of Food! So i read the nutrional value.

It was 690Calories
Hungry Man Rotisiree Chicken serving 690
35g FAT 48g CARBS 49g PROTEIN

Now, i know this would not be a wise choice while cutting, due to the proccessed food, but im not cutting, i have perfected cutting(for myself) and now am trying to stuff my face with clean/balanced meals.

Total: 3363

Fat: 114 1023 31%
Sat: 35 311 9%
Poly: 7 62 2%
Mono: 15 131 4%

Carbs: 235 898 27%
Fiber: 10 0 0%

Protein: 341 1364 42%



3218 is the total of cals in the day, the # is slighly lower due to i dont add veggies that i have with dinner in Fitday.

So it could be 3300+ Im trying to hit 3500/daily but its so fucking hard.

But as you can see above, I hit my %'s for my macro's

I want 40/30/30. Wich i came preety close too.

NOW I WANT TO KNOW, IF THE HUNGRY MAN IS JUST COMPLETELY NO GOOD.

it was 3.99 for a meal. But its better then spending 3.50 on Fried Chicken strips from the truck right!

I just want to make sure Im not wasting my time + Money.

BUT IF ITS A GOOD MEAL SHIT, GO BUY SOME ITS GOOD! LOL ITS 1LB OF FOOD!

This is what was included in the meal:
Small serving of StringBeans
Small Serving of MAshed Potatoes
Small Brownie(Wich i believe most carbs in the meal come from so i toss half of it)
2 Chicken Legs 1 Drum, whatever they call it.

Decent Meal, Filled me up for a few, but hey then again nothing really fills me up.


Also, im at work trying to bulk, so now u can see why i gotta ask. I prepare so much damn food at home, this would be overkill to prepare at home.
 
Ive seen them as well and Swanson makes them I beleive? Im not sure...But anyways, I think if you trash the "desert" part, I dont think the rest, although probably not the cleanest of meals, isnt terrible for you. I wouldnt eat these things day in and day out, because they are pre packaged and I know they have to be using something chemicals to keep these things good. But there are far worse choices for you, but Im sure youd be fine having these once in a while.

Yeah Im a little guy tryin to burn off some BF% so I can do my first ever real bulk, (im just getting started with the whole process), I have trouble eating 2200 cals in a day I have a small frame and i feel like im eating way more than my stomach wants lol
 
not sure if i would eat a a proccessed meal more than a few times a week like you comented on but whatever floats your boat. Also do you think that your taking in to much fat and not enought carbs? 31%fat 27%carbs? eventhought its a small change, at the least i would reverse those.

i know how u feel!!! i was 240lbs when i started this journey. and now im bulking up ironic lol.

when i was cutting i felt like i had to starve myself. Throw some more b12 (its supposed to make u more hungry). I know fiber is good for you if you feel hungry all day, but like i me i was stuffed, so i decreased my fiber levels.

Cutting is harder then bulking so, when u are reay for your bulk you will know ur body

yea, i usually do intake more carbs than fat, BUT in todays scenario it fell a little short. The veggies i didnt factor in, so ill have a decent amount of broccoli with dinner.

But your DEF right on that part.

Besides the FAT is also mostly EFA's as well, 3 Teaspoons of FishOil, and ANPB before bedtime.
 
Yeah Im 6'0" 188ish, probably 20% bf. Thats according to those estimators though. My wrists and lower legs have always been small, I was real skinny as a kid, until I played sports for 15 years every season. Then when I stopped due to injury I put weight on...Now Im trying to cut down the bf like 10% then get into lifting seriously for the first time. (for bulking purposes)

I just got done with a no-so-clean bulk so my 1st thoughts are, if you have a clean bill of health, if it's convenient, cost efficient, no concern for processed food/chemical etc, I do not see a problem with this to get the cals up for YOUR goal. Are there other ways? Sure. Will is cost more time & money? Yup. Is that what you want? From this Post I don't think so.

With that said, I cannot compare with a clean bulk b/c I have never done one, and honestly, don't really plan on it at this time. On a personal note MM, if I didn't get the refeed on the food I was craving the most while cutting down, during this 'dirty bulk" , I'm sure I woulda went a little crayzay :D I have no regrets.

You can try it & you find yourself getting sick or stomach upset from the meals, ditch em & move on to option B ... still to be determined :)
