How to stay motivated

I hear you Batz!! be glad you get as far into it as you do though, thats an accomplishment in it's self!! I go for about two or three weeks and then I get bored. I'm gonna get back into things and these are a few things that are going to keep me motivated. They may sound silly, but whatever!!
1. I want to be able to fit into a Hooters outfit!! I told my friend that I want to work there this summer!! I probably won't but I'll know if I'll look good enough to wear those booty shorts!!
2. Old pics of myself of course boost me up!! I know I looked good then and that I can again!!
3. I always remember that my roomie told me that she was jealous of me Freshman year because I was nice and thin!!
4. I'm looking forward to wearing my bikini this summer and a lil shirt and shorts out and to the clubs!!

Motivation is all individual...for me I could never get bored in the gym..unless I am doing cardio!! You need to set goals...new ones all the time..have something you are striving towards..make it a challenge but realistic as well. I am never satisfied and I always want to improve...I see pictures in magazines and from shows that fire me up and make me want to kick ass!!! I have a pic of Valentina on my fridge...shes my fav and I love her bod!!! I also keep track of everything I eat...training and so on..so I can go back and see what works and what doesnt. You have to find out what makes you tick..and what gets ya all fired up..everyone is different..Keep variety in your workouts..find a friend that is in the fitness scene as well to coach ya through when you are down and out..gets ya through the rough times:) Take pictures every month to watch your progress...so you can see visible results..take measurements..bodyfat and so on....Read this board...it should inspire you!

Writing out my workout beforehand helps get me to the gym (because I hate the thought of leaving blanks beside everthing).

oh thank god..... im not the only freak! ;)

I decided to enter a competition for motivation, then I told all my friends I was going to do it, then I decided I needed to do a local practice show first, and told all my friends about that, so there's no way I'm giving up now.

Also, I got SO into a routine that I can't imagine NOT going to the gym - I get cranky and achy when I can't go.

Keep a training journal - like many of the other women here, I do that too. It's invaluable to monitor your progress. I've got 2 years of workouts logged now, and it's just amazing looking back and seeing where I've come from.

Everyone's given great suggestions here - try some of them. The MOST powerful motivator, though, is photographs - I take new pics after every 6-week mesocycle - the changes aren't blow-me-down huge, but definitely noticeable, and over time, wow, the changes are very noticeable!

Just decide that specific times are gym times, and arrange the rest of your schedule around them. If the time is set, the pictures are on your fridge, the workout is planned in your logbook - boy you're gonna feel silly if you don't go, then, aren't you?:D

And if you STILL miss a session, come here and we'll roast you! (but only if you taste like marshmellows - oops, sorry, j/k!):D

Go go go girl!
