Agreed, I do not consider that to be fat at all.

Oh, well, I don't think I'm fat at all. I would just like to be somewhat leaner. I would like to be 18-20% bf but can't seem to get below 23%. Plus I'm working at increasing the weight I can lift.

Thanks guys!!

I think I'm a little fat right now, but I'm trying to put on size, so I'll have to live with it. Here is my crappy web cam pic taken this week. 231 ibs right now.

23% is below average for a woman. You can get to 18 though, just keep dieting, and training hard. Good, you are trying to lift heavier while losing body fat.

I guess with bf it's good to be below average!! The diet is soooo hard for me to stick with. I get on a cycle of doing very well then blow it completely. I also just can't have 2 Hershey's kisses to satisfy my chocolate needs -- I have to eat 24. It's a vicious cycle.

BBF -- it's hard to tell in the little pic but you do look fuller. Do you have to put on a bunch of weight & then will you diet to lose it again? Good luck!

I have gained very little body fat. I use a high calories CKD and do cardio, but I will have to diet. I've put on a bit of water weight, which is acceptable. If nothing else it, keeps my muscle hydrated. None-the-less, yes I will have to diet down afterwards if I want to have nice abes again. I'm around 10% bodyfat at the moment, if I had to make a guess.

Ummmm...chocolate... I'm the same way. If I eat one, the entire bag is in grave danger.

BBF -- Well I can't imagine that you would look better than the avatar pic, cuz you look really, really good in that one. Post new pics & we'll all do a comparison!!

I'll depend on you for info so I can get to my goals!! Is it possible for a person to have a set bf% based on genetics? So, say I'm 23% bf now. Would it be impossible or improvable for me to get much below that if my genetics are that I've come from a very heavy family? Or would I just have to diet XXXXX hard?

I belive in set point theory in terms of totally mass yes. However this controls hunger more than anything. The farther above this weight one gets the less of an appetite they have. Mine is 225-230, so now I'm having to force myself to eat. When one gets far below it, they become very hungry, all the time.

No, it's just that 23% is a bit of a sticky point for you right now. Its below average, and you were overweight, so your body may be a bit reluctant to drop more bodyfat. Adjust your diet and make some changes in your routine, suppliments etc that speed up metabolism and you'll start to see progress again.

Thanks for the compliment. Believe me, it means a lot coming from attractive women when they compliment my body (I blush sometimes in real life), because I was fat prior to my change in lifestyle. Its funny that I still blush even if I've been getting alot of them. At my last job, and at the gym I get them alot.

I would say you'll just have to diet extra hard. Some people are just leaner naturally, but 18% is NOT unattainable for pretty much any female.

My genetics aren't terrific for leanness, but when my diet is good, it's isn't hard for me to lose BF. But I am definately one of those people that have to do cardio. No matter how clean my diet is, I think I'll always have to do cardio to help keep BF off. *sigh* Diet is the #1 key to get in line.

God I love chocolate too. My first "off diet" meal will be pizza and cheesecake. :)
