How can I drink slow carbs?

Agreed, but we are talking about monotony....not nutrional.....oats are a very solid (no pun intended) carb choice....would I go crazy eating them every meal, YES! Is it a bad option if you don't have any reason to live err..I mean, don't care about life's delacacies...NO.

Actually I do care about the delacacies - and because I have them rarely, I am able to enjoy and appreciate them far more than you may.

Anyway, thanks for the feedback.

And final note - thanks to all who helped. After the workout tonight I tried it out - 75g of oats, 28.2g of concentrate, and 12 ounces of milk into the blender. Excellent. This is just what I've been looking for - the only downside is that milk must be refregerated and I require a blender and electricity.

I will make some adjustments - 100g and 8 ounces and no concentrate - and setting the blender on it's highest setting.

I would not reccomend oats PW, but do as you wish..also, Ashley apologized for her thread, so there was really no need to get harsh towards her...it's just many feel there is much more to life...you need to understand that. :worried:

Yeah, oats and milk pwo is pretty useless IMHO.

However, do as you wish, to each his own. :)

(I did find it funny that the "downside" is that you need milk and ELECTRICITY. Welcome to 2004)

LOL!!!

Ashley - you are a fool. Sorry, I know you're trying to be helpful, but....

My foods are extremely real. Whey? It is taken straight off the top of milk. Oats? Straight out of the ground. Flax seed oil? Harvest the seeds and squeeze them. WTF are you talking about. Almost nothing I eat has ANY preservatives, ANY processing, ANY food coloring, it is almost all totally natural. I guess the dextrose is refined but it is only for PWO.

Good lord. The Synpax Diet IS the one I created. A long time ago. I am Synpax. You think the name is a coincidence?

Syn - take a glance over at www.bodybuilding.com and the diet forum........you'd find a ton of company over there...they sound mostly like young teens, but many swear by oats....I think they even have an oat forum.......they eat em PW, pre-bed, in the am...all day..........think they had a oat challenge where some dude at 1,200g in a hour or something........check it out.

I'm not bothered by ashley being ... sharp? ... with me, just with her inaccuraicies. I tried too give her K for her answer but I can't because I've given to recently to her.

BTW - the oats are not PW - they are about an hour PW. I throw dextrose into the PWO.

Kewl thanks. Of course, all other diet boards/forums are inferior to EF.

Oats are great. I think a lot of folks here are into those expensive 'steel cut oats' or whatever, but the generic slow cook ones are fine for me and dirt cheap.

I just finished off 100g of oats in 8 oz of milk. It took about 2 minutes to make and 2 minutes to drink. BANG 460 calories, 10g of fiber, 318 carb calories, 83 protein calories, and 58 fat calories.

Immediatly after my morning cardio I had a shake /w 1 scoop of iso, 1 scoop of con, and 30g of dextrose. BANG 308 calories, 111 of carbs, 118 of prtein, and 9 of fat.

I was wondering if anyone has ever experimented with say 1 or 2 months of 80% or more of protein cals coming from protein powders to see if this "you must eat meat" thing was B.S. I just don't see how it could.

synpax I was thinking of doing something very similar to your diet. :) I was going to substitute those low carb tortillas (50 cals each) since I love those. I wonder how those stack up nutritionally. I just hate how long it takes to eat. It is especially a hassle at work.
