How can I drink slow carbs?

Do you realize how few of the items you plan to live off of are actually FOOD? As in, food that grows from the ground, comes directly from an animal, or is produced by nature? Do you not see that as a problem?

In addition, if I'm not mistaken, malto is quickly digested as oats are slowly digested... how do you plan to substitute one for the other if they do two different things?

Perhaps you should consider canning the whole "Synpax Diet" and create your own.

Sorry if that sounded mean... I wasn't trying to be snappy :verygood:
I just think you're setting yourself up for disaster... deep breath... deep breath... move on... :p

when oats are blended in a liquid they become less "slow" (higher GI). GI is how long a body taking to process and carbohydrate in comparison to glucose. Particle size, cooking length, and much more, are to be accounted for.

I think SC was trying to say, it is a very inefficient method for carbohydrate consumption. Sure its possible, but you wont get the same results that you could be obtaining.

I dont think he was referring to that at all.....ok, it may change the GI, but it will be ever so slight, that it won't make a difference...it's not going to change something like oats into glucose. Then, if you factor in any fats, etc. this will slow the absorption rate even more....she's talking about 1/2 cup...the GL for this amount is nil.......

GI of food isn't the only factor either. People seem to ignore the II.

Your body doesn't know whether the nutrients you give it are coming from solid food or powder or liquid. Your body won't bicker that the AA Tryptophan it just got from some powder or liquid isn't as good as that coming from a solid piece of turkey or something.

Correct. Inefficient meaning the only thing u can drink carb wise is oats, and who wants to just eat that all day? (no yams/potatoes/rice/grits/pasta on occassion, etc). Doesn't sound very fun to me, but if that's what tickles one's perverbial pickle, please drink away. :artist:

I gotta live while I eat too! If I had to drink oats all the time, I think I'd find the highest bridge around. :)

I guess it all lies in preference.

Agreed, but we are talking about monotony....not nutrional.....oats are a very solid (no pun intended) carb choice....would I go crazy eating them every meal, YES! Is it a bad option if you don't have any reason to live err..I mean, don't care about life's delacacies...NO.

Ashley - you are a fool. Sorry, I know you're trying to be helpful, but....

My foods are extremely real. Whey? It is taken straight off the top of milk. Oats? Straight out of the ground. Flax seed oil? Harvest the seeds and squeeze them. WTF are you talking about. Almost nothing I eat has ANY preservatives, ANY processing, ANY food coloring, it is almost all totally natural. I guess the dextrose is refined but it is only for PWO.

Good lord. The Synpax Diet IS the one I created. A long time ago. I am Synpax. You think the name is a coincidence?
